Christian Anders
Christian Anders (15 January 1945 in Bruck an der Mur, Austria as ''Antonio Augusto Schinzel-Tenicolo'') is an Austrian singer, musician, composer, author and conspiracy theorist. Life In his childhood he lived with his family in Cagliari, Sardinia. When he was 10 years old, his family came to Germany and lived in Offenbach am Main. After school he became an electrician. Anders began to sing German schlager songs and was famous as a singer during the 1970s and 1980s. In the 1970s he wrote some novels. Around 2000 he started writing several books with esoteric and conspiracy theory content under the pseudonym Lanoo. Since 2006 Anders has been married to Birgit Diehn. Bernhard-Viktor Christoph-Carl von Bülow (12 November 1923 – 22 August 2011), known as Vicco von Bülow or Loriot (), was a German comedian, humorist, cartoonist, film director, actor and writer. He was best known for his cartoons, the sketches from his 1976 television series ''Loriot'', alongside Evelyn Hamann, and his two movies, ''Ödipussi'' (1988) and ''Pappa Ante Portas'' (1991). On the television series ''Unsere Besten'' (''Our Best''), Loriot was ranked the 54th best German ever. In a special comedy episode of ''Unsere Besten'', he was ranked as the most famous German comedian ever. "Wig-Wam Bam" is a song by British glam rock band The Sweet, written by songwriters Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman, released as a single in September 1972. It was the first Sweet single on which the band members actually played their instruments, as previous singles featured producer Phil Wainman on drums, and session musicians John Roberts and Pip Williams (later producer of Status Quo albums) on bass and guitars respectively. Lyrics The song's lyrics are inspired by Henry Longfellow's ''Hiawatha'' poem from 1855. The poem tells the legend of a Native American warrior Hiawatha and his lover Minnehaha. The lyrics also refer to Running Bear and his lover Little White Dove, two characters from the 1959 song "Running Bear" written by Jiles Perry Richardson. Hot Butter were an American instrumental band fronted by the keyboard player and studio musician Stan Free. The other band members were John Abbott, Bill Jerome, Steve Jerome, and Danny Jordan and Dave Mullaney. They were best known for their 1972 version of the Moog synthesizer instrumental hit "Popcorn", originally recorded by its composer, Gershon Kingsley, in 1969. "Popcorn" (first version "Pop Corn") is an instrumental composed by Gershon Kingsley in 1969 for the album ''Music to Moog By'' on Audio Fidelity Records label. The Moog synthesizer instrumental became a worldwide hit, first in 1972 when a version by Hot Butter was released. Since then, multiple versions of the piece have been produced and released, including those by Vyacheslav Mescherin, Anarchic System, Popcorn Makers, the Boomtang Boys, M & H Band, Crazy Frog and The Muppets. The Sweet
The Sweet (often shortened to just Sweet), are a British glam rock band that rose to prominence in the 1970s. Their best known line-up consisted of lead vocalist Brian Connolly, bass player Steve Priest, guitarist Andy Scott, and drummer Mick Tucker. The group were originally called The Sweetshop. The band were formed in London in 1968 and achieved their first hit, " Funny Funny", in 1971 after teaming up with songwriters Nicky Chinn and Mike Chapman and record producer Phil Wainman. During 1971 and 1972, their musical style followed a marked progression from the Archies-like bubblegum style of "Funny Funny" to a Who-influenced hard rock style supplemented by a striking use of high-pitched backing vocals. Mouth and MacNeal was a Dutch pop duo that enjoyed some commercial success in the 1970s. They are best known for their million selling recording of " How Do You Do" in 1972, which topped the Dutch chart and became a US top ten hit, also reaching number 2 in Canada, and for representing the Netherlands at the 1974 Eurovision Song Contest, finishing third with the song "I See a Star", which went on to become a UK top ten hit. "Metal Guru" is a song by the British rock band T. Rex, written by Marc Bolan. It was the band's fourth (and final) number one on the UK Singles Chart when it topped the chart for four weeks from May–June 1972. It was also included on the album '' The Slider'' in 1972.
