Ala Archa National Park
The Ala-Archa Nature Park ( ky, Ала-Арча кыргыз мамлекеттик жаратылыш паркы, russian: Государственный природный национальный парк Ала-Арча) is an alpine national park in the Tian Shan mountains of Kyrgyzstan, located approximately 35 km south of the capital city of Bishkek. Established in 1976, it currently covers 16,485 hectares. Name The nature park is named after the river Ala-Archa which flows through it. In Kyrgyz, the ''archa'', which gives the river and the park its name, is a bright or many-colored juniper which the Kyrgyz people have traditionally held in special esteem, using smoke from its burning wood to chase away evil spirits. However, the archa is not supposed to be planted near the home, because it is believed gradually to sap the energy from human beings living close-by. Sarkent State Nature Park
Sarkent State Nature Park ( ky, Саркент мамлекеттик жаратылыш паркы) is a national park in Leylek District of Batken Region of Kyrgyzstan established in June 2009. The purpose of the park is conservation of the unique natural complexes and biodiversity, protection of rare and endangered flora and fauna, and extension of network of specially protected areas of Kyrgyz Republic. The area of the park is 39,999 hectares. The park is located in the Turkestan Range, 42 km from the district center Isfana and in 177 km from the regional center Batken. Rare species listed in the Red Book live here, such as the brown bear, the snow leopard, the golden eagle, the lynx, and the saker. Saymaluu-Tash State Nature Park
Saymaluu-Tash ( ky, Саймалуу-Таш, meaning 'embroidered' or 'patterned stones' in Kyrgyz) is a petroglyph site and a national park in Jalal-Abad Region, Kyrgyzstan, south of Kazarman. Over 10,000 carved pictures—and perhaps as many as 11,000—which are black-and-white rock paintings, have so far been identified, making the site a globally important collection of rock art. They are a sacred display of offerings of the ancient people of the lower valley. Protection The site was proposed for listing under the UNESCO List of World Heritage Sites by the Kyrgyz National Commission for UNESCO on 29 January 2001. The Ala-Archa ( ky, Ала-Арча, also Аларча) is a river flowing through Alamüdün District of Chüy Region of Kyrgyzstan. It rises on the northern slopes of Kyrgyz Ala-Too and flows north to enter the river Chu in Chüy Valley. The Ala-Archa is long and has a basin area of . Its water comes mostly from glaciers and snow.
