Mungo Jerry are a British rock band, formed by Ray Dorset in Ashford, Middlesex in 1970. Experiencing their greatest success in the early 1970s, with a changing lineup always fronted by Ray Dorset, the group's biggest hit was "In the Summertime". Tower Bridge is a Listed building#Grade I, Grade I listed combined Bascule bridge, bascule and Suspended-deck suspension bridge, suspension bridge in London, built between 1886 and 1894, designed by Horace Jones (architect), Horace Jones and engineered by John Wolfe Barry with the help of Henry Marc Brunel. "Towers of London" is a song written by Andy Partridge of the English rock band XTC, released as the second single from their 1980 album ''Black Sea''. It peaked at number 31 on the UK Singles Chart. The BBC-2 documentary ''XTC at the Manor'' featured the group recording the song in the studio. Partridge later reflected that he may have been "subconsciously" trying to rewrite the Beatles' "Rain", desiring "clangorous guitars crashing together, and sort of droning." Kelly Marie (born Jacqueline McKinnon; 16 October 1957) is a Scottish singer, best known for the song "Feels Like I'm in Love", a No. 1 hit in the UK in 1980. "Feels Like I'm in Love" is a song written and recorded by Ray Dorset with his band Mungo Jerry. It was a number-one hit on the UK Singles Chart for two weeks in September 1980 for Scottish singer Kelly Marie. Original version Written by Ray Dorset of Mungo Jerry, the song was originally written for and recorded by Elvis Presley but he died before it was released. Dorset's group recorded the song but their version was relegated to the B-side of a Belgian single "Sur Le Pont D'Avignon" (A-side). It was also featured on the band's album "In the Summer Time". Battersea Power Station
Battersea Power Station is a decommissioned Grade II* listed coal-fired power station, located on the south bank of the River Thames, in Nine Elms, Battersea, in the London Borough of Wandsworth. It was built by the London Power Company (LPC) to the design of Leonard Pearce, Engineer in Chief to the LPC, and CS Allott & Son Engineers. The architects were J. "News of the World" is a single by British group The Jam released on 3 March 1978. The single reached No. 27 in the UK Singles Chart. "Aunties and Uncles (Impulsive Youths)" and "Innocent Man" appeared as its B-sides. The title refers to the former British tabloid newspaper, ''News of the World''. "News of the World" is not included on any of the band's studio albums. It was written and sung by bass guitarist Bruce Foxton rather than the band's usual frontman Paul Weller.
