Rainer Maria Rilke Foundation
The Rainer Maria Rilke Foundation (in French language, French: ''Fondation Rainer Maria Rilke'') was established in 1986 in Sierre, Switzerland, on the patronage of the municipality. Its goal is to promote the knowledge of Rainer Maria Rilke's works, through a museum, exhibitions, lectures, conferences, publications and a festival. The famous poet spent the five last years of his life in the city, living in the Château de Muzot, a 13th-century fortified manor on the edge of town. Since 1987, the foundation installed the museum in the ''Maison de Courten'', built in 1769, located at the ''rue du Bourg 30'' in Sierre. The Polish Museum, Rapperswil, was founded in Rapperswil, Switzerland, on 23 October 1870, by Polish Count Władysław Broel-Plater, at the urging of Agaton Giller, as "a refuge for Poland's historic memorabilia dishonored and plundered in the occupied Polish homeland" and for the promotion of Polish interests. Except for two hiatuses (1927–36, 1952–75), the Museum has existed to the present day—an outpost of Polish culture in Switzerland, a country which, over the past two centuries, has given refuge to generations of Poles. Founding The Polish Museum is housed in the Rapperswil Castle, atop that town's ''Herrenberg''. Laténium
The Laténium is an archeology museum located in Hauterive, a suburb of Neuchâtel, Switzerland. Its name refers to the famous nearby site of La Tène which gave its name to the Second European Iron age. The Laténium is composed of a park and a museum building which also harbours the archaeological section of the Heritage Offices of the State of Neuchâtel, as well as the chair of prehistory of the University of Neuchâtel. The museum and its park are built on what used to be three archaeological sites that were excavated during the construction of the A5 motorway. Theses sites date from the Upper Paleolithic, Bronze Age and Neolithic. The Swiss Museum of Transport or Verkehrshaus der Schweiz (literally "Transportation House of Switzerland") in Lucerne opened in July 1959 and exhibits all forms of transport including trains, automobiles, ships and aircraft as well as communication technology. Archizoom is an architecture museum settled on the campus of the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, in Lausanne, Switzerland. It provides a public programme of exhibitions, lectures and events for the ENAC Faculty.
