Kunaev Home Museum (Russian: Дом-музей Кунаева, '' tr. dom muzei kunaeva'') is a memorial museum and memorial apartments of the politician and First Secretary of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan Dinmukhamed Kunaev in Almaty, Kazakhstan. History The museum consists of two areas: the D. A. Kunaev museum, and the memorial apartments. Museum Museum contains three galleries devoted to Dinmukhamed Kunaev's life and activities. The museum was opened in 2002 on the 90th anniversary of Kunaev's birth in premises provided for this purpose at 177 Tulebayeva Street. The Satbayev Memorial Museum ( Russian: Мемориальный музей Сатпаева, '' tr. memorialnii muzey satpaieva'') is a museum dedicated to Kazakh scientist Kanysh Satbayev, academician of the Kazakh Soviet Socialist Republic Academy of Sciences, in Almaty, Kazakhstan. History The memorial house-museum dedicated to Kazakh academician Kanysh Satbayev was opened in 1989, as part of the celebrations of his 90th birthday. First Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev took part in the opening of the museum. The exhibition covered Satbayev's work as a scientist. Home Museum of Abylkhan Kasteev (Russian: Дом музей Кастеева, '' tr. dom muzei kasteeva'') is a memorial museum of the painter Abilkhan Kasteev in Almaty, Kazakhstan. The museum is located in the house where he lived from 1958 to 1973. History The house is located on Bekhozhina Street in the east part of Almaty, behind the river. It was built in 1955 for the artist's family. In 1966 the house was completely demolished and then rebuilt. Abilkhan Kasteev lived and worked in the house from 1958 to 1973. In 2004, Kasteev's family transferred the house to the state to create a memorial museum. In 2014, the 110th anniversary of the artist's birth, the memorial home-museum was opened. Nurgisa Tlendiev Memorial Museum (Russian: Мемориальный музей Тлендиева) is a museum dedicated to the composer, Hero of Kazakhstan, and People's Artist of the USSR , which is located in Almaty, Kazakhstan. History The museum was opened on the eve of Tlendiyev's 90th anniversary, and on the eve of International Museum Day in 2014. Akhmet Baitursynov Home Museum ( Russian: Дом-музей Байтурсынова, '' tr. dom muzei baitursynova'') is a memorial museum of Akhmet Baitursynov in Almaty, Kazakhstan. Museum is located in the house where he lived in 1934–1937. Museum exhibition Ahmet Baitursynov and his family lived in the Zubov house in 1934–1937. After the rehabilitation of the former Alash Orda government in 1988, the house was recognized as a historical and architectural monument and in 1993 a memorial house-museum was opened. The museum exposition occupies three rooms - the former dining room, the children's room and the office of the head of the family.
