List Of Municipalities Of Estonia
A municipality ( et, omavalitsus, plural ) is the smallest administrative subdivision of Estonia. Each municipality is a unit of self-government with its representative and executive bodies. The municipalities in Estonia cover the entire territory of the country. Municipalities in Estonia are of two types: *Urban municipalities or towns (, singular ) *Rural municipalities or parishes (, singular ). There is no other status distinction between them. Municipalities may contain one or several settlements. All but 5 urban municipalities (Haapsalu, Narva-Jõesuu, Paide, Pärnu and Tartu) plus 1 rural municipality (Ruhnu) contain only one settlement. As of 2017, there are no longer any "borough-parishes", i.e. rural municipalities with only one borough-type settlement. Ruhnu Parish contains only one village and is therefore a "village-parish". Ida-Viru County ( et, Ida-Viru maakond or ''Ida-Virumaa'') is one of 15 counties of Estonia. It is the most north-eastern part of the country. The county contains large deposits of oil shale - the main mineral mined in Estonia. Oil shale is used in the production of shale oil and in thermal power plants. Antsla
Antsla is a town in Võru County, southern Estonia, it is the administrative centre of Antsla Parish. Antsla borough was renamed town of third rank by Konstantin Päts from 1 May 1938. The settlement is known since 1405. The town has a furniture manufacturing. Antsla is situated on the Valga–Pechory railway, but since 2001 the train traffic on the line is inactive. The building still showcases some fine stucco decorations on both the front and back façades, as well as an ebony staircase from the early 20th century. Adjacent to the manor house the former smithy, granary, creamery and cowshed are situated. The manor house is located in a park, unique for its many foreign tree species. Harju County ( et, Harju maakond or ''Harjumaa''), is one of the fifteen counties of Estonia. Kehra
Kehra is a town in Anija Parish, Harju County, Estonia, most known for its pulp and paper mill. The town is situated on the banks of the Jägala river, and has a station on the Tallinn-Narva railway. As of January 1, 2021, the town had a population of 2635. Etymology Kehra village, the town's namesake, was first mentioned in the Danish Census Book as ''Ketheræ'' in 1241''.'' Anija Parish ( et, Anija vald) is a rural municipality in Harju County, Estonia, consisting of 33 settlements. The parish has a population of 6274 and covers an area of .
