Bauneg Beg Mountain
Bauneg Beg Mountain is a mountain summit located in the town of North Berwick, in York County in the state of Maine. Bauneg Beg Mountain climbs to above sea level. Bauneg Beg Mountain is taller than Mount Agamenticus, and has been used by mariners to navigate the Maine Coast. This area is characterized by rolling forested hills, broad stream valleys, and numerous swamps. Bauneg Beg Mountain is the only mountain in southern Maine that does not have a radio tower on it. Cadillac Mountain
Cadillac Mountain is located on Mount Desert Island, within Acadia National Park, in the U.S. state of Maine. This mountain, which has no formal name, is located on the Canada–US border between boundary markers 445 and 446. It is the highest point on the border east of the Rocky Mountains. Specifically it is the highest point for 3190 miles of border from the Passamquoddy Bay up to 111 degrees west in Liberty County, Montana at border monument 360 (miles) from the Pacific. The southeast half is in Oxford County, Maine; the northwest half is in Le Granit Regional County Municipality, Quebec, Canada. Boundary Bald Mountain
Boundary Bald Mountain is a mountain located in Somerset County, Maine, about southeast of the Canada–US border with Quebec. Boundary Bald Mountain is flanked to the east by Ironbound Mountain, and to the west by Sandy Bay Mountain. The north side of Boundary Bald Mountain drains via Alder Brook, Fish Brook, and Hale Brook (east to west) into the South Branch of the Penobscot River, then into the West Branch, the main stem of the Penobscot, and into Penobscot Bay. Borestone Mountain
Borestone Mountain is a mountain in Piscataquis County, Maine. It is a popular hiking spot near the center of the state, with a trailhead located on Mountain Road near Willimantic. The mountain is part of the Borestone Mountain Audubon Sanctuary There are several historic lodges on Midday Pond, run by Maine Audubon. The trail is open to hikers 365 days a year. Parking is available on Mountain Road approximately north of Willimantic. The well-marked, well-maintained trail passes to the south and east of Midday Pond ascending the west side of the mountain. Directly to the south of Midday pond on the trail is a small one-room cabin with a museum open from Memorial Day to Columbus Day. The distance from parking to the summit is about . Black Nubble is a mountain located in Franklin County, Maine. Black Nubble is flanked to the southeast by Mount Redington. The U.S. Navy Survival Escape and Evasion Training Facility (USSEAETF) is located just south of Redington. Black Nubble stands within the watershed of the Kennebec River, which drains into the Gulf of Maine. Black Cap Mountain
Black Cap Mountain is a mountain in Penobscot County, Maine, United States. The mountain is southeast of Eddington, Maine, and the Penobscot River. It is accessible from Maine Route 46, near its intersection with The Airline (State Route 9). The mountain is named for its granite peak, which is mostly bare with a few scrubby trees. From the mountain there is a panoramic view of western Maine, the Western Maine Mountains, and the eastern portion of the White Mountain National Forest. Big Spencer Mountain
Big Spencer Mountain is a mountain located in Piscataquis County, Maine. Big Spencer Mtn. is flanked to the west by Little Spencer Mountain. The southwest end of Big Spencer Mountain drains into Kidney Brook, then into Lobster Lake, and into the West Branch of the Penobscot River, and into Penobscot Bay. The northeast end of Big Spencer Mountain drains into spring-fed Blood Pond where the pond's outlet, Maxfield Brook, then empties into Lobster Lake. Part of the southeast side of Big Spencer Mountain drains into Bear Brook, then into Ragged Lake, Ragged Stream, Caribou Lake, Chesuncook Lake, Ripogenus Lake, and into the West Branch Penobscot River.
