This is a list of members of the Riksdag, the national parliament of Sweden. The Riksdag is a unicameral assembly with 349 members of parliament ( sv, riksdagsledamöter), who at the time were elected on a proportional basis to serve fixed terms of three years. In the Riksdag, members are seated per constituency and not party. The following MPs were elected in the 1991 Swedish general election and served until the 1994 Swedish general election. Arne Andersson (politician)
Arne Andersson (27 October 1917 – 1 April 2009) was a Swedish middle distance runner who became famous for his rivalry with his compatriot Gunder Hägg in the 1940s. Andersson set a 1500 metres world record in Gothenburg in August 1943 with a time of 3:45.0 minutes. He was born in Trollhättan, Sweden. Andersson set three world records in the mile: the first in Stockholm in July 1942 in (4:06.2); this record was broken in the same year by Hägg (4:04.6). Andersson recaptured the world record in Gothenburg in July 1943 (4:02.6), and improved it further in Malmö in July 1944 (4:01.6). However, Hägg had the last word when he ran (4:01.4) in Malmö in 1945 (Hägg's record was not broken until Roger Bannister ran the first sub-4 mile in Oxford in 1954). Georg Andersson (politician)
Georg Andersson (born 1936) is a Swedish politician and a member of the Social Democratic Party. He held various cabinet posts and was a member of the Riksdag between 1971 and 1995. Biography Andersson was born in 1936. He joined the Social Democratic Party which he represented at the Riksdag from 1971 to 1995. Andersson was appointed minister of immigration in 1986, replacing Anita Gradin in the post. When he was in office he openly criticized the migration policies of Sweden arguing that Sweden had not responded the applications in a fair manner and that those given permission to live in the country had not been treated as equal fellows and could not find a job. Bohuslän (; da, Bohuslen; no, Båhuslen) is a Swedish province in Götaland, on the northernmost part of the country's west coast. The Centre Party ( sv, Centerpartiet ; C) is a liberal political party in Sweden, founded in 1913. The party's major issues are the national economy, the environment, political decentralisation and social integration. It is represented in all of the Riksdag's parliamentary committees, currently holding 31 seats. From 2019 to 2021, it provided confidence and supply to the Löfven II Cabinet.
