John Woudenberg
John William "Dutch" Woudenberg Jr. (May 25, 1918 – May 3, 2005) was a professional American football tackle in the National Football League (NFL) and the All-America Football Conference (AAFC). Woudenbergwas born and raised in Denver. He played college football and wrestled at the University of Denver. He was affiliated with the Kappa Sigma fraternity at DU. Woudenbergwas was selected by the Chicago Bears in the sixth round of the 1940 NFL Draft. He played for the Pittsburgh Steelers in 1940 through 1942. During World War II he served as an officer in the United States Navy. Herb Drinkwater
Herb Drinkwater (August 28, 1936 – December 28, 1997) was an American politician from the state of Arizona. Herbert Raymond Drinkwater, was the oldest child of Herbert Drinkwater (1909-1992) and Alice Estella Bumstead (1913-1987). His father was born in England, his mother in New York, where they married and had their first child: Herbert. After World War II, the family moved to Phoenix where Herbert Sr was a high school math teacher. Herbert Raymond Drinkwater was mayor of Scottsdale from 1980 to 1996, when he was diagnosed with salivary gland cancer. Personal One of Drinkwater's sons, Mark Drinkwater, used to own Drinkwater's City Hall Restaurant at the Scottsdale Airport in Scottsdale. Mark was also part of the ownership group at Drinkwater's City Hall Steakhouse in downtown Scottsdale but sold the restaurant in 2007 and the name changed to Mastro's City Hall Steakhouse. Mary Manross is an American politician who served as mayor of Scottsdale, Arizona. First elected in June 2000, she served two terms and lost her campaign for a third term as mayor in the November 2008 runoff mayoral election to her opponent, former Certified Public Accountant and businessman and former city councilman Jim Lane. Education Manross earned a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of California at Los Angeles and a teaching credential from Minot State University. Career Before her election as councilwoman, Manross served on several city government commissions and in leadership positions for local charitable organizations, as well as being campaign manager for Mayor Herb Drinkwater's 1984 and 1988 mayoral campaigns. W. J. "Jim" Lane is an American politician and businessman who served as Mayor of Scottsdale from 2009 to January 2021, when term limits forced his departure. A member of the Republican Party, he was first elected to the Scottsdale City Council in 2004. Lane is a resident of the city's northern portion. Early life and education A native of New Jersey, Lane attended Seton Hall Preparatory School in West Orange. He then earned a BS in accounting from Saint Joseph's University.
