The Mayor of Cuneo is an elected politician who, along with the Cuneo's City Council, is accountable for the strategic government of Cuneo in Piedmont, Italy. The current Mayor is Patrizia Manassero, a member of the centre-left Democratic Party, who took office on 4 July 2022. Overview According to the Italian Constitution, the Mayor of Cuneo is member of the City Council. The Mayor is elected by the population of Cuneo, who also elects the members of the City Council, controlling the Mayor's policy guidelines and is able to enforce his resignation by a motion of no confidence. Cuneo (; pms, Coni ; oc, Coni/Couni ; french: Coni ) is a city and ''comune'' in Piedmont, Northern Italy, the capital of the province of Cuneo, the fourth largest of Italy’s provinces by area. Federico Borgna (born 19 October 1973 in Cuneo) is an Italian politician. Borgna ran as an independent for the office of Mayor of Cuneo at the 2012 Italian local elections, supported by a centre-left coalition. He won and took office on 23 May 2012. He was re-elected for a second term on 16 June 2017. He was elected President of the Province of Cuneo on 13 October 2014 and re-elected on 1 November 2018. Guido Bonino (11 May 1931 – 27 May 2022) was an Italian politician. He served as the President of the Province of Cuneo in the Piedmont region from 1985 until 1988 and the Mayor of Cuneo from 1976 to 1985. Biography Bonino was born in Savigliano, Italy, on 11 May 1931. He was the administrative director of Santa Croce Hospital from 1968 to 1973, Carle Hospital from 1973 to 1977, as well as the director of the Cassa di Risparmio in Cuneo from 1970 to 1975.
