Manhua
() are Chinese-language comics produced in China and Taiwan. Whilst Chinese comics and narrated illustrations have existed in China in some shape or form throughout its imperial history, the term first appeared in 1904 in a comic titled ''Current Affairs Comics'' () in the Shanghai-based newspaper ''Jingzhong Daily'' (). Etymology The word was originally an 18th-century term used in Chinese literati painting. It became popular in Japan as ''manga'' in the late 19th century. Feng Zikai reintroduced the word to Chinese, in the modern sense, with his 1925 series of political cartoons entitled ''Zikai Manhua'' in the ''Wenxue Zhoubao'' (Literature Weekly). While terms other than had existed before, this particular publication took precedence over the many other descriptions for cartoon art that were used previously and came to be associated with all Chinese comic materials. Panini Comics is an Italian comic book publisher. A division of Panini Group, which also produces collectable stickers, it is headquartered in Modena, Italy. The company publishes comic books in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Mexico, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom, as well as manga in several non-English-speaking countries through the ''Planet Manga'' publishing division. In the United Kingdom, Panini Comics prints its Collectors' Edition (CE) line, which consists of reprints of Marvel US Comics. These are usually 76 pages long (with the occasional 100 page special). Xiao Pan is a French publisher and distributor of full-color Chinese manhua, both in French-language and original Chinese form. They are based in France, with offices in Belgium, Switzerland, and Canada. Several of their titles have been licensed for translation and release to English-speaking audiences. m&c! Publishing or better known as m&c! (stands for Magazine & Comics; id, Majalah & Komik) is a publishing company in Indonesia. The company has its roots on Komik Majalah in the 1980s, which often published various comics from foreign publishers. In 2003, m&c! was established as a publishing company and is part of the Retail and Publishing Division of the Kompas Gramedia Group (KGG). m&c! headquartered in the Kompas Gramedia Palmerah building, located in Tanah Abang, Central Jakarta. Today, m&c! alongside Elex Media Komputindo—which is also part of the KGG—are the two biggest publishers in the comic publishing industry in Indonesia. TCZ Studio
Tengchong Tuofeng Airport is an airport serving Tengchong in the west of Yunnan Province. It is located near the village of Tuofeng (), Qingshui Township, 12 kilometers south of the city seat. It takes about 15 minutes by car to arrive in central Tengchong City. The airport was opened on 16 February 2009. DrMaster Publications Inc. was an American distributor of manga and manhua with offices in the United States, Republic of China and Japan. It was headquartered in Fremont, California. It began strictly as a printer of manga, and entered the publishing business after taking over most of ComicsOne's manga and manhua titles. DrMaster's Publications Inc. went out of business around 2009 and its offices in Fremont are gone. The building was later occupied by Sunesys Telecommunications. Yen Press, LLC is an American manga and graphic novel publisher co-owned by Kadokawa Corporation and Hachette Book Group. It published ''Yen Plus'', a monthly comic anthology, between 2008 and 2013. In addition to translated material, Yen Press has published original series, most notably a manga adaptation of James Patterson's ''Maximum Ride'' and Svetlana Chmakova's '' Nightschool''.
