Golf
Golf is a club-and-ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit balls into a series of holes on a course in as few strokes as possible. Golf, unlike most ball games, cannot and does not use a standardized playing area, and coping with the varied terrains encountered on different courses is a key part of the game. Courses typically have either 18 or 9 ''holes'', regions of terrain that each contain a ''cup'', the hole that receives the ball. Each hole on a course contains a teeing ground to start from, and a putting green containing the cup. Blake Adams
Blake Adams (born August 27, 1975) is an American professional golfer who has played on the PGA Tour. Early life and career Adams was born in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, but only lived there for two months. His family moved to Dalton, Georgia, where he lived until he was sixteen years old. After his mother remarried, he moved to Eatonton and graduated from Gatewood School, and enrolled at the University of Georgia in Athens. Adams spent three years at Georgia then transferred to Georgia Southern University in Statesboro. He earned a bachelor's degree in sociology in 2001 and turned professional later that year. Professional career 2007–2009: Nationwide Tour Injuries have plagued Adams throughout his career and he bounced around on the mini-tours until he joined the Nationwide Tour in 2007. Buddy Alexander
Stewart Murray Alexander (born February 20, 1953), nicknamed Buddy Alexander, is an American former college golf coach and amateur golfer. Alexander is the former head coach of the Florida Gators men's golf team. He is best known for coaching the Gators to National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I tournament championships in 1993 and 2001. Tyler Aldridge
Tyler Aldridge (born September 2, 1984) is an American professional golfer. Aldridge was born in Caldwell, Idaho and played college golf at Boise State University. Aldridge turned professional in 2004 and played on mini-tours before starting on the Nationwide Tour (now Web.com Tour) in 2008. He earned his 2009 PGA Tour card at Qualifying School in 2008 and split the 2009 season between the PGA Tour (three cuts made in 17 starts) and the Nationwide Tour (five cuts in 11 events). Jim Albus
James Christian Albus (born June 18, 1940) is an American professional golfer. Albus was born in Staten Island, New York. He attended New Dorp High School, and went on to Bucknell University, where he was a successful baseball player. It was while he was at college that he took up golf, which was unusually late for a future pro. He transferred to UCLA and graduated in 1965. Albus became a golf professional in 1968 and worked as a club professional at courses that included La Tourette Golf Course and Piping Rock Club. He won a number of local and regional tournaments while he was a club professional and played in five U.S. Opens and seven PGA Championships. He was Met PGA Player of the Year in 1981, 1982, 1986 and 1988. Thomas Edward Aiken (born 16 July 1983) is a South African professional golfer who plays on the European Tour and Sunshine Tour. Career Following a successful amateur career, which included being named the South African Amateur of the Year in 2001, Aiken turned professional at the start of 2002. Antti Ahokas
Antti Juhani Ahokas (born 24 January 1985) is a Finnish professional golfer. Ahokas was born in Lappeenranta. After winning the Finnish Amateur Stroke Play Championship in 2005, he moved to the United States to attend the University of Minnesota, but left after just 3 months to return to Europe and further his ambitions as a professional. In 2006, Ahokas won the Irish Amateur Open Stroke Play Championship beating future world number 1 and major winner Rory McIlroy in a playoff. Jim Ahern (golfer)
James Russell Ahern (born February 26, 1949) is an American professional golfer who played on the PGA Tour and the Champions Tour. Ahern was born in Duluth, Minnesota. He attended Oklahoma State University and turned professional in 1972. He toiled in relative obscurity on the PGA Tour in the 1970s, never finishing higher than ninth in 60 tournaments. He lost his card at the end of the 1975 season. Felipe Andrés Aguilar Schuller (born November 7, 1974) is a Chilean professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. Career In 2006 he became the second Chilean, after Roy Mackenzie to earn full membership to the European Tour but failed to retain full playing rights at the end of the season.
