Magazines in Spain are varied and numerous, but they have small circulation. In terms of frequency, the Spanish magazines are mostly weekly and monthly. Although there are news magazines and political magazines in the country, they mostly focuses on entertainment, social events, sports, and television. There were many influential feminist magazines in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries in the country. The first magazine of which the editor-in-chief was a woman was '' El Robespierre Español'' existed in the period 1811–1812. The number of the mainstream women's magazines intensified in the 1960s. As of 2014 there were also large number of aviation magazines in the country. The data by the General Media Survey found that in 2003 there were 137 magazines in Spain. ''Buen Humor'' (Spanish language, Spanish: ''Good Humor'') was a satirical and literary magazine published in Madrid, Spain, between 1921 and 1931. It was among the most read satirical magazines in the country during its lifetime in addition to ''Gutiérrez (magazine), Gutiérrez''. History and profile ''Buen Humor'' was established by graphic artist and cartoonist Pedro Antonio Villahermosa y Borao, who was also called Sileno, in 1921. Sileno also edited the magazine, which covered short stories, sketch (drawing), sketches and drawings. It was published on a weekly basis. Its headquarters was in Madrid. ''Blanco y Negro'' (English: "White and Black") was a Spanish-language weekly art and literary magazine and later, the companion of the daily ''ABC''. The magazine was published in Madrid, Spain. History and profile ''Blanco y Negro'' was established in 1891. The title of the magazine was a reference to the contrasts in life such as laughter and tears and the sad and happy. Its founder was Torcuato Luca de Tena. The magazine was controlled by the Catholic Church through Editorial Catolica which also published it on a weekly basis. ''Bética'' was an illustrated cultural magazine which existed between 1913 and 1917. It was headquartered in Seville, Spain. History and profile ''Bética'' was launched in Seville in November 1913 as a biweekly magazine. The magazine was affiliated with the Centros Andaluces. Later its frequency was switched to monthly. El Be Negre
''El Be Negre'', meaning "The Black Sheep" in Catalan, was an illustrated satirical weekly magazine. Published in Barcelona between 1931 and 1936, its life and destiny were closely linked to those of the ill-fated Second Spanish Republic.
