An arena is a large enclosed platform, often circular or oval-shaped, designed to showcase theatre, musical performances, or sporting events. It is composed of a large open space surrounded on most or all sides by tiered seating for spectators, and may be covered by a roof. ABB Arena is the common name for the two biggest indoor arenas in Västerås, Sweden. Venues Arena Nord ABB Arena Nord is the ice hockey arena and VIK Västerås HK's home arena. Hovet (formerly known as Johanneshovs Isstadion or, in English: Johanneshov Stadium) is an arena located in the Johanneshov district of Stockholm (Stockholm Globe City) which is mainly used for ice hockey, concerts and corporate events. It was opened in 1955 as an outdoor arena, however a roof was added in 1962, and the arena interior has also been a subject to major renovation in 2002. Saab Arena, formerly named Cloetta Center between 2004–2014, is an arena in Linköping, Sweden. It opened in September 2004 and holds 8,500 people during sport events and 11,500 during concerts. On its opening, it became the new home ice for the ice hockey team Linköpings HC, replacing Stångebro Ishall. Löfbergs Arena is an arena located in Karlstad, Sweden, situated just above the river delta of Klarälven. It is primarily used for ice hockey, and is the home arena of Färjestad BK. It opened in 2001 following a complete overhaul and major expansion of the previously existing arena Färjestads Ishall. It replaced Färjestads Ishall as the home of Färjestad and has a capacity of 8,647 people. The name of the arena comes from the coffee roastery Löfbergs. Löfbergs, named Löfbergs Lila until 2012, is a coffee roastery in Karlstad, Sweden. It was founded in 1906 by the three brothers Josef, Anders and John Löfberg. Löfbergs is today one of the largest coffee roasteries in the Nordic countries. The company is still family owned and is now in third and fourth generation. The main office and one of the roasteries is in Karlstad. They own 50% of Peter Larsens Kaffe in Viborg, Denmark. Löfbergs also owns Kobbs tea. The company has 200 employees. As of 1999 the company had a 20% market share in Sweden. In recent years Löfbergs have strengthened their position in the market, with an emphasis on social responsibility and working for a better environment.
