''The Warden'' ( fa, سرخ‌پوست, Sorkhpust, lit=The Redskin) is a 2019 Iranian mystery drama film directed and written by Nima Javidi. It stars Navid Mohammadzadeh and Parinaz Izadyar. Set in 1967 in Iran, Navid Mohammadzadeh plays Major Nemat Jahed, the warden of a prison, that is being evacuated for expansion whilst one of the prisoners is missing. The film is titled after the prisoner's nickname "Ahmad Redskin". This film was screened for the first time in the 37th Fajr Film Festival, and by being nominated in 8 categories of this festival, Crystal Simorgh has been awarded a special prize by the jury. Mani Haghighi ( fa, مانی حقیقی; born 4 May 1969) is an Iranian film director, writer, film producer and actor. Haghighi started making movies in 2001. Early life and education Haghighi was born in Tehran, the son of the translator and gallery owner Lili Golestan and the cinematographer Nemat Haghighi. His maternal grandfather is the writer and filmmaker Ebrahim Golestan. Haghighi was educated in Iran and, from the age of 15, Appleby College in Canada. In his films, Majidi has touched on many themes and genres and has won numerous international awards.
