Baltic is a city on the Big Sioux River in northern Minnehaha County, South Dakota, United States. The population was 1,246 at the 2020 census. History Baltic was originally called St. Olaf, and under the latter name was laid out in 1881. Another variant name was Keyes. Brandon Valley School District
The Brandon Valley School District is a public school district in Minnehaha County, based in Brandon, South Dakota. It serves the communities of Brandon and the nearby town of Valley Springs. History Brandon Elementary School was the start of the district in 1916. Additions were made in the 1930s and in 1987. In 2003, Robert Bennis Elementary School opened to serve students in the southern half of Brandon. Fred Assam Elementary opened in 2009 to relieve pressure on the two elementary Schools in Brandon. Valley Springs Community School consolidated with Brandon in the 1960s. Perkins County is a county in the U.S. state of South Dakota. As of the 2020 census, the population was 2,835. Its county seat is Bison. The county was established in 1908 and organized in 1909. It was named for Sturgis, South Dakota, official Henry E. Perkins. Geography Perkins County lies on the north edge of South Dakota. Its north boundary line abuts the south boundary line of the state of North Dakota.
