This is a list of golfers who have won 10 or more events on the Japan Golf Tour since it was established in 1973. The official Japan Golf Tour website lists winners beginning with the 1985 season. Individual player pages, however, list the total number of career wins under "Lifetime Record". Many of the players on the list have won events on other tours and unofficial events. Golf
Golf is a club-and-ball sport in which players use various clubs to hit balls into a series of holes on a course in as few strokes as possible. Golf, unlike most ball games, cannot and does not use a standardized playing area, and coping with the varied terrains encountered on different courses is a key part of the game. Toshimitsu Izawa
Toshimitsu Izawa ( ja, 伊沢利光, born 2 March 1968) is a Japanese professional golfer. He is sometimes known outside Japan as Toshi Izawa. Izawa was born in Kanagawa, attended Nihon Taiiku University, and turned professional in 1989. Izawa's career on the Japan Golf Tour developed quite slowly. His first win came in 1995, and he did not make the top ten on the money list until 1999, when he was thirty one years old. He went on to top the money list in 2001 and 2003. In the first of those years he set a record of ¥217,934,583 in earnings which survived though the 2004 season, and his dominant form in Japan lifted him into the top twenty in the Official World Golf Ranking. He has 16 victories on the Japan Golf Tour and is eighth on the career money list (through 2013). Brian Jones (golfer)
Brian Jones (born 12 September 1951) is an Australian professional golfer. Golf career Jones was born in Sydney. He turned professional in 1971. He played on the throughout Asia and Australasia including on the Japan Golf Tour. He won the Indian Open two times, five times in Australasia, and twelve times in Japan. He won 11 events on the Japan Golf Tour between 1977 and 1993. Jones played in multiple Open Championships; his best performance coming at the 1981 Open Championship, where he finished in a tie for 8th place. Hsieh Min-Nan
Hsieh Min-Nan (, born 9 August 1940), also known as Tony Hsieh, is a Taiwanese professional golfer. Hsieh won 11 events on the Japan Golf Tour. He won the 1972 World Cup with teammate Lu Liang-Huan and also won the individual title. Todd Hamilton
William Todd Hamilton (born October 18, 1965) is an American professional golfer. He is best known for his victory at the 2004 Open Championship. Early life Hamilton was born in the small west-central Illinois city of Galesburg. He grew up in an even smaller town, Oquawka, in Henderson County on the Mississippi River. He attended Union High School in Biggsville, Illinois and the University of Oklahoma, where he played collegiately. Professional career Hamilton turned professional in 1987 but was unable to gain entrance to the PGA Tour. Brian Peter Watts (born March 18, 1966) is an American professional golfer. Early life and amateur career Watts was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada to European parents, but is now a U.S. citizen who lives in Texas. He played college golf at Oklahoma State and won the NCAA Division I Championship in 1987 and was a member of the team that won the 1987 NCAA Division I Team Championship. Kim Kyung-tae ( ko, 김경태; born 2 September 1986), also known as K.T. Kim, is a South Korean professional golfer who plays on the Asian and Japan Golf Tours. Career He won several tournaments as an amateur, including the 2006 Japan Amateur Championship and two events on the 2006 Korean Tour. He turned professional in late 2006 and won the 2007 Maekyung Open in his second start on the Asian Tour. David Ishii
David S. Ishii (born July 26, 1955) is an American professional golfer of Japanese descent. Early life Ishii grew up on the island of Kauai in Hawaii and graduated from Kauai High School. As a junior in high school, he won the Hawaii State High School Championship. Amateur career Ishii played his collegiate golf at the University of Houston from 1974 to 1977.
