This is a list of comics creators. Although comics have different formats, this list mainly focuses on comic book and graphic novel creators. However, some creators of comic strips are also found here, as are some of the early innovators of the art form. The list is sorted by the country of origin of the authors, although they may have published, or now be resident in other countries. Gaturro
''Gaturro'' is an Argentine comic strip created by cartoonist Cristian Dzwonik ("Nik"). The comic has been published in more than 50 books, magazines and comic volumes. A 3D computer-animated film of the same name was released theatrically in Argentina on September 9, 2010. Synopsis Gaturro is a brown cat with yellow cheeks. The series is about the life of a cat, named like the strip, who is in love with another cat called Ágatha. However, she is not interested in him. Gaturro does not speak; he just thinks. In some cases, he can communicate with humans like this. However, when he communicates with his animal friends, he does speak. Janus Stark

It is about an escapologist in Victorian London who appears to be simply an unusual act on the music hall stage, but who privately uses his extraordinary abilities to battle against injustice. Francisco Solano López
Francisco Solano López Carrillo (24 July 1827 – 1 March 1870) was President of Paraguay from 1862 until his death in 1870. He was the eldest son of Juana Pabla Carrillo and of President Carlos Antonio López, Francisco's predecessor. At a very young age he served in the Paraguayan Army fighting against Juan Manuel de Rosas in the sporadic hostilities sustained by Paraguay and Argentina during the Platine Wars. After the downfall of Rosas, he became Ambassador of Paraguay, as Minister Plenipotentiary, in several European countries from 1853 to 1855. At his return in Asunción, he was appointed Vice-President of the Supreme Government of his father Carlos, and then assumed the presidency when his father died. He is one of the most controversial figures in South American history, particularly because of the Paraguayan War, known in the Plate Basin as "Guerra de la Triple Alianza". Carlos Loiseau
Carlos Loiseau (November 9, 1948 – May 8, 2012) was a prolific Argentine cartoonist and humorist. He was popularly known in Argentina by his byline, ''Caloi''. Life and work Loiseau was born in Salta, and he was raised in Adrogué and Buenos Aires from age six. Adopting a portmanteau pseudonym based on his full name ("Caloi"), his caricatures first appeared in the popular current events weekly, ''Tía Vicenta'', in 1966, and his first comic strip appeared in ''María Belén'' in 1967; both were satirical weeklies published by a fellow cartoonist, Juan Carlos Colombres. Loiseau's first marriage, at age 19, ended after two years. His first book, ''El libro largo de Caloi'' (''Caloi's Long Book''), was published in 1968, and in his first animated short, ''Las Invasiones Inglesas'' (''The British Invasions''), in 1970. Macanudo (comic)
''Macanudo'' is an Argentine daily comic strip by the cartoonist Liniers. It has been published since 2002 in the newspaper ''La Nación''. It appears on the last page of the paper. Macanudo is published in newspapers and book collections in several countries, such as Brazil, Canada (Quebec), Czech Republic, and Italy. Since September 2018, the strip is distributed in English by King Features Syndicate. Just like Liniers' previous strip, ''Bonjour'', Macanudo is very experimental and deals with meta humor. It has been considered very popular. Liniers (cartoonist)
Ricardo Siri (Buenos Aires, November 15, 1973), better known by the name Liniers, is an Argentine cartoonist. Early life Liniers is related to viceroy Santiago de Liniers. He began drawing from a very early age; he has remarked that he began to draw in order to enjoy movies at home. "I wanted to have ''Star Wars'' and the only way to have it was to draw it. So we could look at it whenever we wanted to." His father was a lawyer and his mother worked at various jobs, including making slippers and little paintings. He has two younger siblings and is married to the writer Angie Erhardt del Campo. They have three daughters named Matilda, Clementina, and Emma. ''Loveless'' was an American Western comic book series for mature readers published by DC Comics as a part of that company's Vertigo imprint. It is written by Brian Azzarello and drawn by Marcelo Frusin, Danijel Zezelj and Werther Dell'Edera. There are 24 issues total. Plot ''Loveless'' was originally about a man, Wes Cutter, who fought for the South in the Civil War and was captured. After spending time in a prison camp he comes back to his previous home of Blackwater after the North won to find the town under Union control and his house occupied. Soon after, Cutter is offered a position of sheriff in the town. The comic's early issues explore the dynamic relationship between Cutter and the people of the town (most of whom hate him), the fate of Cutter's wife Ruth, and the lingering feelings of animosity between North and South after the end of the war. ''John Constantine, Hellblazer'' is an American contemporary Horror fiction, horror comic-book series published by DC Comics since January 1988, and subsequently by its Vertigo Comics, Vertigo imprint since March 1993, when the imprint was introduced. Its central character is the streetwise English exorcist and con man John Constantine, who was created by Alan Moore and Stephen R. Marcelo Frusin
Marcelo Frusin (born 27 December 1967 in Rosario) is an international Argentine comic book artist. His notable works include a run on ''Hellblazer''. Biography Frusin started his career working for the Argentine Columba Publishing house in 1993. For the Italian publisher Universo, he has illustrated the ''Niko Slavo'' series in ''Intrepido'' magazine between 1994 and 1997. In 1998 he started working for the US market in Marvel Comics, making pencils for ''X-Men Unlimited'', written by Tom DeFalco. He later worked for Acclaim Comics also drawing pencils for ''Magnus, Robot Fighter'', scripted by Tom Peyer. Frusin's style resembles his fellow Argentine artist Eduardo Risso (''100 Bullets'').
