Flag Of Winnipeg
The flag of Winnipeg was adopted in October 1975 to represent the City of Winnipeg. Today, the flag with its crest is used as the official representation of the city for ceremonial and official purposes, while the logo flag (adopted in 2001) is used for promotional purposes. In the centre of the flag lies the city's coat of arms, with blue to the upper left, and yellow to the lower right. The blue represents Winnipeg's clear blue sky, and the gold a field of wheat, the city's original primary economic activity; the colours and symbolism are thus similar to those of the flag of Ukraine. While official colours have never formally been designated by the city, the blue and yellow design was adopted as the official colours for Winnipeg's centennial celebrations in 1973. The logo flag also incorporates the two colours, along with red and white. The official flag itself was adopted upon a vote by City Council on October 1, 1975, and was registered as a trademark April 7 the follo ...

Flag Of Vancouver
The flag of Vancouver was adopted by the Vancouver City Council on May 17, 1983. It was designed by Robert Watt, the director of the Vancouver Museum at the time, and later the Chief Herald of Canada. It features a white field with five wavy blue barrulets, and a green pentagon on the hoist side surmounted by a gold shield with the city badge, which consists of a mural crown with crossed axe and paddle. The white and blue symbolize Vancouver's position as a natural harbour on the Pacific Ocean, while the green pentagon represents the land on which the city was built, and the forests which stood on this land. These elements echo the motto on the pre-1969 municipal coat of arms, ''By Sea and Land We Prosper''. The mural crown in the city badge reflects Vancouver's status as an incorporated city, while the axe and paddle stand for the city's traditional industries, logging and fishing. Prior to this flag, Vancouver had a different municipal flag which was the result of a co ...

Flag Of Toronto
The City of Toronto flag, often simply referred to as the flag of Toronto, is the flag adopted by Toronto City Council to represent the city. The flag was designed by Renato De Santis and includes a white outline of Toronto City Hall on a blue field, and a red maple leaf at the base of the towers. An early flag of Toronto was adopted by the former City of Toronto in 1967 and included the city's coat of arms on a blue and white field. However, that flag was replaced by De Santis' design in 1974, which remained in use until the former City of Toronto was amalgamated in 1998. In 1999, a 1:2 proportioned version of De Santis' flag was adopted by the new City of Toronto. Description The flag of Toronto includes a white outline of the twin towers of the Toronto City Hall slightly left-of-centre on a blue field. The red maple leaf from the Canadian flag sits at the base of the towers, representing the city council chambers. The shape of the space above and between the towers sugg ...
