Poro
The Poro, or Purrah or Purroh, is a men's secret society in Sierra Leone, Liberia, Guinea, and the Ivory Coast, introduced by the Mane people. It is sometimes referred to as a hunting society and only males are admitted to its ranks. The female counterpart of the Poro society is the Sande society. Grand-Bassam
Grand-Bassam () is a town in southeastern Ivory Coast, lying east of Abidjan. It is a sub-prefecture of and the seat of Grand-Bassam Department; it is also a commune. During the late 19th century, Grand-Bassam was briefly the French colonial capital of Ivory Coast. Because of its outstanding examples of colonial architecture and town-planning, and the juxtaposition of the colonial town with a traditional Nzema village, the historic center of Grand-Bassam was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2012. Agboville
Agboville is the town in south-eastern Ivory Coast. It is a sub-prefecture of and the seat of Agboville Department. It is also a commune and the seat of Agnéby-Tiassa Region in Lagunes District. Agboville is situated 79 km north of Abidjan. The local ethnic group is the Abbey. The Abbey is one of over 60 ethnic groups in Ivory Coast, and are usually considered to be an Akan subgroup. The Abbey people have many traditions related to family and friends. One important holiday for the Abbeys is "La fête des ignames" or the "Yam Festival". Gôh Region is one of the 31 regions of Ivory Coast. Since its establishment in 2011, it has been one of two regions in Gôh-Djiboua District. The region's seat is Gagnoa and its area is 7327 km². Gagnoa is a city in south-central Ivory Coast. It is the seat of both Gôh-Djiboua District and Gôh Region. It is also the seat of and a sub-prefecture of Gagnoa Department. Gagnoa is also a commune. In the 2014 census, the city had a population of 160,465, making it the seventh-largest city in the country. Gagnoa is the seat of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Gagnoa, and contains its cathedral.
