List Of Casualties At The Battle Of Karbala
This article contains the list of casualties of Husayn ibn Ali's relatives and companions in the Battle of Karbala. The battle took place on Friday Muharram 10, in the year 61 AH of the Islamic calendar (October 10, 680 CE) in Karbala, situated in present-day Iraq. The battle was between Yazid's army from Syria reinforced by troops from Kufa, and the caravan of families and companions of Husayn ibn Ali, the grandson of the Islamic prophet, Muhammad. It is claimed that 72 males (including Husayn's 6 months old son) of Husayn's companions were killed by the forces of Yazid I. Husayn Ibn Ali
Abū ʿAbd Allāh al-Ḥusayn ibn ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib ( ar, أبو عبد الله الحسين بن علي بن أبي طالب; 10 January 626 – 10 October 680) was a grandson of the Islamic prophet Muhammad and a son of Ali ibn Abi Talib and Muhammad's daughter Fatima, as well as a younger brother of Hasan ibn Ali. He is claimed to be the third Imam of Shia Islam after his brother, Hasan, and before his son, Ali ibn Husayn Zayn al-Abidin. Being a grandson of the prophet, he is a member of the Ahl al-Bayt. He is also considered to be a member of the Ahl al-Kisa, and a participant in the event of Mubahala. Muhammad described him and his brother, Hasan, as "the leaders of the youth of Paradise." Abdullah Ibn Ali Ibn Abi Talib
ʿAbd Allāh ibn ʿAlī ibn Abī Ṭālib ( ar, عَبْد ٱللَّٰه ٱبْن عَلِيّ ٱبْن أَبِي طَالِب) was one of Ali's sons who was killed in Karbala in 680, and is considered among the martyrs of the Battle of Karbala. Ali Al-Akbar Ibn Husayn
Ali al-Akbar ibn al-Husayn ( ar, عَلِيّ ٱلْأَكْبَر بن ٱلْحُسَيْن, '), commonly known as simply Ali al-Akbar, was the son of Al-Husayn ibn Ali, the third Imam, and Umm Layla. He was martyred at the age of 18 on the day of Ashura, in the Battle of Karbala. According to Jean Calmard writing in Iranica, ‘Ali al-Akbar's reputation as a valiant warrior of the Household of Muhammad might have preceded that of Al-‘Abbas ibn ‘Ali. Bishr Ibn Hasan
Bishr ibn al-Ḥasan ( ar, بشر بن الحسن) was a great-grandson of the Islamic prophet Muhammad. He was the son of second Shia Imam Hasan ibn Ali. He is considered to be one of the martyrs of the Battle of Karbala, although no record describes the circumstances surrounding his death by enemy forces. The first instance of Bishr ibn Hasan to be listed among the martyrs of Karbala was by Shia scholar Ibn Shahrashub. Abd Allah Ibn Hasan Ibn Ali

Al-Qasim Ibn Hasan Ibn Ali
Al-Qāsim ibn al-Ḥasan ( ar, القاسم بن الحسن) (Sha'ban 7, 47 AH / October 4, 667 CE in Medina – Muharram 10, 61 AH / October 10, 680 CE in Karbala) was the son of Hasan ibn Ali.
