Maribor
Maribor ( , , , ; also known by other #Name, historical names) is the second-largest city in Slovenia and the largest city of the traditional region of Styria (Slovenia), Lower Styria. It is also the seat of the City Municipality of Maribor, the seat of the Drava Statistical Region, Drava statistical region and the Eastern Slovenia region. Maribor is also the economic, administrative, educational, and cultural centre of eastern Slovenia. Maribor was first mentioned as a castle in 1164, as a settlement in 1209, and as a city in 1254. Malečnik Bridge
Malečnik (, german: Maletschnig) is a village on the left bank of the Drava River east of Maribor in northeastern Slovenia. It belongs to the City Municipality of Maribor. There are two churches in the settlement. The local parish church is dedicated to Saint Peter and was first mentioned in documents dating to 1236, but the current building is Baroque and was built in 1740. Studenci Footbridge
The Studenci Footbridge ( sl, Studenška brv) is a footbridge crossing the Drava river in Maribor, northeastern Slovenia. It is the smallest bridge on the Drava in Maribor, and connects Studenci on the right bank with Lent on the left bank. History In 1885, the Municipality of Maribor built a footbridge over the Drava river. It connected the city with Studenci and was built mainly for the railway workers. On 13 September 1903, the bridge was swept away by floodwater, causing the deaths of two city guards. The following year, a new footbridge was built, which was destroyed in April 1941 by the Royal Yugoslav Army. The German Army rebuilt the bridge, but on 9 July 1946, it was again destroyed by floods. Old Bridge (Maribor)
The Old Bridge ( sl, Stari most), also named the State Bridge (), the Main Bridge (), and the Drava Bridge (), is a bridge crossing the Drava River in Maribor, northeastern Slovenia. It links Main Square () and Pobrežje Street () and is long. Its central part, spanning the Drava, is long and has three steel arches. The bridge was completed in 1913 and opened to traffic on 23 August of that year. During World War II, it was damaged and later partially rebuilt. The last renovations took place in 1990 and 1998. Tito Bridge (Maribor)
Krk Bridge ( hr, Krčki most) is a long reinforced concrete arch bridge connecting the Croatian island of Krk to the mainland. Carrying over a million vehicles per year, it was the last tolled bridge in Croatia that is not part of a motorway until the removal of tolls. The longer of the bridge's two arches is the third-longest concrete arch in the world and the longest outside of China, and among the longest arches of any construction.
