'' Without a Trace'' is a police procedural television show, which was originally broadcast on CBS from September 26, 2002 to May 19, 2009. The series, set in New York City, is about a fictitious full-time FBI missing persons unit. Most episodes follow the search for an individual where it is of great importance that the person be found quickly. The stories also focus on the personal lives of the team members to show how their different experiences give them insight, and sometimes traumatic reactions, to certain cases. A total of 160 episodes were produced over 7 seasons. The first two seasons have been released on DVD in region 1. In region 2 seasons 1-6 are available on DVD. Seasons 1-5 are available on DVD in region 4. No seasons were released on HD DVD and as of January 2018 there has not been an announcement about a release of the show on Blu-ray. ''Without a Trace'' is an American police procedural drama television series created by Hank Steinberg that aired on CBS from September 26, 2002 to May 19, 2009 with the total of seven seasons and 160 episodes. The series focuses the cases of a Missing Persons Unit of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in New York City. On May 19, 2009, CBS cancelled the series after seven seasons. Premise Each episode followed the search for one individual under tight time constraints. The stories also focused on the personal lives of the team members and illustrated how their experiences gave them insight into cases. HD DVD
HD DVD (short for High Definition Digital Versatile Disc) is an obsolete high-density optical disc format for storing data and playback of high-definition video. Supported principally by Toshiba, HD DVD was envisioned to be the successor to the standard DVD format. HD DVD employed a blue laser with a shorter wavelength (with the exception of the 3× DVD and HD REC variants), and it stored about 3.2 times as much data per layer as its predecessor (maximum capacity: 15 GB per layer compared to 4.7 GB per layer on a DVD). The format was commercially released in 2006 and fought a protracted format war with rival Blu-ray. The Blu-ray Disc (BD), often known simply as Blu-ray, is a digital optical disc data storage format. It was invented and developed in 2005 and released on June 20, 2006 worldwide.
