USA Water Ski
USA Water Ski & Wake Sports also known as USA Water Ski is a non-profit water skiing association headquartered in Polk County, Florida whose mission is 'to promote the growth and development of recreational water skiing, and organizing and governing the sport of competitive water skiing." T USA Water Ski was founded in 1939 and replaced the American Water Ski Association. As of 2015, USA Water Ski was the largest water ski federation in the world with more than 600 clubs and 20,000 members. Ricky McCormick (born March 14, 1952) is an American water skier. He won 11 world titles, 37 national championships. He was awarded two gold medals for Water skiing at the 1972 Summer Olympics, though as it was a demonstration sport that year they are not included in the medal table. He came from a family of water skiers so started at age five. In 1982 he retired and in 1988 he was inducted into the Water Skiing Hall of Fame. George Joseph Cash (25 May 1937 – 13 July 1967) was an American professional water skier. During his career Cash won four Masters, three U.S. Nationals, and two World Championships. Biography Joe Cash was born on May 25, 1937 to James and Clara Cash in Shelbyville, TN. His family moved to Sarasota, FL in 1946, which happened to be a popular spot for waterskiing. He did not begin waterskiing until his parents bought him his first pair of skis for his 17th birthday, but within three years, he was competing in national and world championships. Cash got his first job when he joined the ski show at Sunshine Springs and Gardens near Sarasota. He moved on to become a star performer in the Cypress Gardens show, while simultaneously piling up tournament trophies. Redding is the economic and cultural capital of the Shasta Cascade region of Northern California and the county seat of Shasta County. Haines City is a city in Polk County, Florida, United States. Its population was 13,174 at the 2000 census and 20,535 at the 2010 census. It is the third most populous city in Polk County.
