'' Utawarerumono'' is a 26-episode anime television series based on the visual novel of the same name by Leaf. The series aired in Japan between April 3 and September 25, 2006. With the first DVD release of the anime on August 23, 2006, a short bonus episode lasting about seven minutes was also included. The opening theme is "Musōka" by Suara, the first ending theme used for the first 25 episodes is "Madoromi no Rinne" by Eri Kawai, and the second ending theme used for the final episode is "Kimi ga Tame" by Suara. The North American rights to the ''Utawarerumono'' anime were initially held by ADV Films for US$109,201 effective August 1, 2006, who completed a full DVD release of the entire series. Utawarerumono
is a Japanese adult tactical role-playing visual novel developed by Leaf, which released in April 2002 for Microsoft Windows. It was ported to the PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita. In releases subsequent to the initial 2002 version, it is known by its more specific title . The game was highly successful in Japan and has since been adapted into a wide variety of other media, including several anime series, drama CDs, and Internet radio programs, and manga. A sequel for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita titled '' Utawarerumono: Mask of Deception'' was released in Japan in September 2015, and worldwide in May 2017. A , often abbreviated as VN, is a form of digital semi-interactive fiction. Visual novels are often associated with and used in the medium of video games, but are not always labeled as such themselves. They combine a textual narrative with static or animated illustrations and a varying degree of interactivity. Leaf (Japanese Company)
Leaf is a Japanese visual novel studio under the publisher Aquaplus, and has offices in Yodogawa-ku, Osaka, and Tokyo. It and its competitor Key (to which it is often compared) are two of the most popular and successful dedicated visual novel studios operating today. It was launched out of obscurity by its early release ''To Heart''. Leaf used the XviD video codec in several games: '' Aruru to Asobo!!'', ''Tears to Tiara'', ''Kusari'', and '' ToHeart2 X Rated''. Since XviD is free software, released under the GPL, Leaf was obligated to release the source code to those games under the same license. ''Omake'' (, usually written ) means ''extra'' in Japanese language, Japanese. Its primary meaning is general and widespread. It is used as an anime and manga term to mean "extra or bonus." In the United States, the term is most often used in a narrow sense by anime fans to describe special features on DVD releases: deleted Scene (film), scenes, interviews with the actors, "the making of" documentary clips, outtakes, amusing bloopers, and so forth. However, this use of the term actually predates the DVD Recording medium, medium by several years. (born August 3, 1979, in Osaka) is a female Japanese singer working under the FIX Records label, distributed by King Records. Her two singles ''"Musōka"'' and ''"Hikari no Kisetsu"'' were both used as opening themes for the anime ''Utawarerumono'' and '' Asatte no Hōkō'' respectively. Additionally, her song ''""Kimi ga Tame"'' was featured in episode twenty-six of ''Utawarerumono''. Her song ''"Tomoshibi"'' was used as the ending theme of the anime ''To Heart 2''. Her name is derived from the Indonesian word for "voice" . She married composer and arranger Junpei Fujita is a Japanese arranger and composer, and a founding member of Elements Garden. Eri Kawai
was a Japanese singer from Tokyo, Japan. She graduated from the Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music and both composed and sang not only classic but also pop and world music. She was also friends with well-known video game composer Yasunori Mitsuda and had collaborated with him on some of his works. She died on August 4, 2008 at age 43 after being hospitalized as the result of liver cancer.
