The State University of New York at Albany, commonly referred to as the University at Albany, UAlbany or SUNY Albany, is a public research university with campuses in Albany, Rensselaer, and Guilderland, New York. Founded in 1844, it is one of the four "university centers" of the State University of New York (SUNY) system. The university enrolls 16,648 students in nine schools and colleges, which offer 50 undergraduate majors and 125 graduate degree programs. Tony Vinciquerra
Anthony "Tony" Vinciquerra (born August 30, 1954) is an American film executive who is the current Chairman and CEO of Sony Pictures Entertainment. Early life Vinciquerra was born in Albany, New York, and grew up with three sisters in a three bedroom apartment. He performed various odd jobs in his youth, and began working in radio ad sales in college. After graduating from University at Albany in 1977, he moved into television ad sales and eventually was named COO of Hearst-Argyle Television in New York in 1999. Career Vinciquerra climbed through the ranks of television broadcasting ad sales. He served as Chairman of Fox Networks Group, which included Fox Cable Networks, Fox Broadcasting, and Fox International Channels, from 2001 to 2011. Harris Pastides
Harris Pastides (born 1954) is an academic and university administrator who served as the 28th president of the University of South Carolina from 2008 until 2019. In addition to his employment at the university Pastides has been on the board of directors of Synovus, a financial services company. On October 3, 2018, Pastides announced his intention to retire from the presidency of USC, the last day of which he served on July 31, 2019. He was again appointed Interim President at South Carolina after Bob Caslen resigned on May 13, 2021, officially taking office May 21, 2021 and serving until July 1, 2022. Lucy Stedman Lamson
Lucy Stedman Lamson (June 19, 1857 – September 2, 1926) was an American business woman and educator. In 1918, the music in the 30 grade schools of Tacoma, Washington was under the supervision of Lamson, prominently known through the Northwest as a director of public school music. Cooperating with her in her work were the 300 teachers of the grade schools, where the following threefold system-plan was established by Lamson: sight singing and the singing of two, three- and four-part standard choruses; a thorought knowledge of the patriotic and best war songs; and organized chorus of children to lead in a series of community "sings", assisted by a local orchestra and soloists. Stedman made a fortune in buying and selling real estate in Washington state. Her career stood out in defiance of the tradition in her era of women's inefficiency in money and business matters. Chobani is an American food company specializing in strained yogurt. The company was founded in 2005 by Hamdi Ulukaya, a Turkish businessman.
