This is a list of episodes of the ''Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'' 2003 TV series. The series debuted on February 8, 2003 on the Fox Network as part of Fox's 4Kids TV Saturday morning lineup and ended on February 28, 2009. The series was produced by Mirage Studios, which owned one third of the rights to the show. Series overview Series Season 1 (2003) Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' first season originally aired between February 8, 2003 and November 1, 2003, beginning with the "Things Change" episode. The episodes were released in two separate volumes, the first on May 22, 2007 with twelve episodes, and the second on September 18, 2007 with fourteen episodes. ''Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'' is an American animated television series developed by Lloyd Goldfine, and based on the comic book characters of the same name created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. The series premiered on February 8, 2003, as part of the Fox's FoxBox programming block (later known as 4Kids TV) and ended on February 28, 2009. The series was announced on May 7, 2002. It was co-produced by 4Kids Entertainment (as its first in-house animated production) and franchise creators Mirage Studios, which co-owned rights to the show, with animation provided by the studio Dong Woo. The series ran for 156 episodes over seven seasons. For its final season in 2008, the show moved from Fox to The CW. 4Kids also licensed the first 40 episodes to Cartoon Network in 2003, and Cartoon Network aired the series until mid 2005. Master Splinter
Splinter, often referred to as Master Splinter or Sensei by his students/sons, is a fictional character from the ''Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'' comics and all related media. A mutant rat, he is the grave and stoic wikt:sage, sage of the Turtles, their ninjutsu and martial arts instructor, as well as their adoptive father. ''Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles'' (initially known as ''Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles'' in some European countries) is an American animated television series produced by Fred Wolf Films, and based on the comic book characters created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird. The pilot was shown during the week of December 14, 1987 in syndication as a five-part miniseries, and the show began its full-time run on October 1, 1988. The series ran until November 2, 1996, when it aired its final episode. Set in New York City, the series follows the adventures of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and their allies as they battle the Shredder, Krang, and numerous other villains and criminals. ''Turtles Forever'' is a 2009 American animated superhero television film directed by Roy Burdine and Lloyd Goldfine. A crossover film featuring two different incarnations of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fighting together, it was produced in celebration of the 25th anniversary of the characters and serves as the series finale to the 2003 series. The film aired on The CW4Kids on November 21, 2009. Plot The Ninja Turtles and their master Splinter are startled to watch a video broadcast of the Turtles fighting the Purple Dragons on TV. The Turtles break into the Purple Dragons' HQ and discover that their "imposters" are actually alternate versions of themselves. Toonzai (formerly known as The CW4Kids from May 24, 2008 to August 7, 2010, or stylized as TOONZAi) was an American Saturday morning cartoon children's television block that aired on The CW from May 24, 2008 to August 18, 2012. The block was created as a result of a four-year agreement between 4Kids Entertainment and The CW.
