The list of supporting characters of Superman is the cast of characters secondary to the main character of Superman in the Superman comics, television programs, cartoons, and movies. Almost all versions reference the source material of the comic book version and therefore the various iterations in all forms of media share an overlapping set of characters. Jack Grimes (April 1, 1926 – March 10, 2009) was an American voice and radio actor who played Jimmy Olsen in the last three years of '' The Adventures of Superman'' radio program, and the 1966 Filmation TV series ''The New Adventures of Superman''. Toyman
The Toyman is the name of three supervillains and one adolescent superhero appearing in comic books published by DC Comics, mostly as an adversary for Superman. The most well-known incarnation of the Toyman is Winslow Percival Schott, a criminal who uses toy-based or toy-themed devices and gimmicks in his various crimes. The Toyman made frequent appearances in the Golden Age comics, but has appeared infrequently in ''Superman'' stories since then. In the succeeding years, Jack Nimball briefly took up the mantle after Schott retired while Hiro Okamura uses the name while operating as a superhero despite Schott coming out of retirement by then. George Taylor is a fictional character appearing in Superman comic books published by DC Comics. He is the editor-in-chief of the Metropolis newspaper the '' Daily Star''. An early Superman supporting character, he was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster as the unnamed editor who gave Clark Kent his first job as a reporter in ''Action Comics'' #1 (June 1938).
