This is a list of Spanish football transfers for the summer sale in the 2016–17 season of La Liga and Segunda División. Only moves from La Liga and Segunda División are listed. The summer transfer window began on 1 July 2016, although a few transfers took place prior to that date. The window closed at midnight on 1 September 2016. Players without a club can join one at any time, either during or in between transfer windows. Clubs below La Liga level can also sign players on loan at any time. If needed, clubs can sign a goalkeeper on an emergency loan, if all others are unavailable. 2016–17 La Liga
The 2016–17 La Liga season, also known as LaLiga Santander for sponsorship reasons, was the 86th since its establishment. The season began on 19 August 2016 and concluded on 21 May 2017. Real Madrid secured the title following their away victory at Málaga on the final matchday, finishing with 93 points and winning a record-extending 33rd championship, their first since the 2011–12 season. Barcelona finished second, three points behind Real Madrid. Real became only the second side after Barcelona in 2012–13 to score in all 38 games of a La Liga season. Name sponsorship The Spanish top flight dropped the sponsorship from BBVA and was now called LaLiga, while the second division was called LaLiga2. The league made this change to maximize the La Liga brand. On 20 July, Banco Santander was appointed as the new sponsor. Alexis Ruano Delgado (born 4 August 1985), known simply as Alexis, is a Spanish former professional footballer. Mainly a central defender, he could also operate as a full-back. He amassed La Liga totals of 321 matches and 17 goals over 15 seasons, representing in the competition Málaga, Getafe (two spells), Valencia, Sevilla and Alavés. Sociedad Deportiva Eibar (in eu, Eibar Kirol Elkartea) is a professional Spanish football club based in Eibar, Gipuzkoa, in the autonomous Basque Country. Nenad Krstičić (born 3 July 1990) is a Serbian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Serbian club Red Star Belgrade. He debuted for the Serbia national team in 2013.
