From their first match in 2006 to their final match in 2008, seventeen players represented the Sint Maarten national cricket team in Twenty20 (T20) matches in the Stanford 20/20. A Twenty20 is a cricket match between two representative teams of one twenty over innings per side. Sint Maarten is first recorded fielding a representative team in 2000. In regional domestic cricket, Sint Maarten plays as part of the Leeward Islands cricket team, which holds first-class, List A (neither of which Sint Maarten has ever held) and Twenty20 status. Sint Maarten National Cricket Team
The Sint Maarten cricket team has represented the Dutch Overseas Territory of Sint Maarten in cricket. The team is not a member of the International Cricket Council, but is a member of the Leeward Islands Cricket Association, which itself is a member association of the West Indies Cricket Board, and players from Sint Maarten generally represent the Leeward Islands cricket team at domestic level and the West Indies at international level. Sint Maarten has however played as a separate entity in matches which held Twenty20 status, but has not appeared in first-class or List A cricket. Barbados National Cricket Team
The Barbados national cricket team is the national cricket team of Barbados, organised by the Barbados Cricket Association (BCA). Barbados is a member of the West Indies Cricket Board (WICB), which is a member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) in its own right, and Barbadians play internationally for the West Indies cricket team. The wicket-keeper in the sport of cricket is the player on the fielding side who stands behind the wicket or stumps being watchful of the batsman and ready to take a catch, stump the batsman out and run out a batsman when occasion arises. Parasram Rishi Singh (born 17 March 1975) is a Guyanese-born former Sint Maartener cricketer. A right-handed batsman and slow left-arm orthodox bowler, Singh played two Twenty20 matches for the Sint Maarten cricket team. Singh was born at Georgetown, Guyana, before emigrating to Sint Maarten. He was selected in Sint Maarten's squad for the 2006 Stanford 20/20, making his debut in Twenty20 cricket against the United States Virgin Islands. Singh captained Sint Maarten in this match, during which he bowled four wicket-less overs and scored an unbeaten run coming into bat at number eleven. Royston Trocard (born 17 September 1967) is a Dominican-born former cricketer who played for Sint Maarten. Trocard was a right-handed batsman who fielded as a wicket-keeper. Trocard played two Twenty20 matches for Sint Maarten. The first of these came against the United States Virgin Islands in the 2006 Stanford 20/20 at the Stanford Cricket Ground. Trocard made two stumpings in this match, while with the bat he scored 17 runs before being run out by Clifford Walwyn. The United States Virgin Islands won the match by 47 runs. His second Twenty20 appearance came against Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the 2008 Stanford 20/20. In cricket, a batter is not out if they come out to bat in an innings and have not been dismissed by the end of an innings. The batter is also ''not out'' while their innings is still in progress. Occurrence At least one batter is not out at the end of every innings, because once ten batters are out, the eleventh has no partner to bat on with so the innings ends. Stanford Cricket Ground
The Coolidge Cricket Ground is a cricket ground in Osbourn, Saint George Parish, Antigua. It was previously known as the Airport Cricket Ground, before it was taken over by American businessman and cricket enthusiast Allen Stanford, rebuilt in 2004 and named the Stanford Cricket Ground. It was used as one of the many home grounds of the Leeward Islands and also hosted many Twenty20 matches, including both the 2006 & 2008 Stanford 20/20 tournaments and the 2008 Stanford Super Series. The Windward Islands cricket team is a cricket team representing the member countries of the Windward Islands Cricket Board of Control. The team plays in the West Indies Professional Cricket League (including the NAGICO Regional Super50) under the franchise name Windward Islands Volcanoes. It includes the islands that were known as the British Windward Islands except for Barbados and Trinidad and Tobago, who have their own teams.
