Bobby Beattie
Robert Beattie (24 January 1916 – 21 September 2002) was a Scottish footballer, who played for Kilwinning Rangers, Kilmarnock, Preston North End and Wigan Athletic. He made one appearance for Scotland in 1938. Beattie started his senior career with Kilmarnock and scored 43 goals in 120 Scottish Football League appearances for the club. He was sold to Preston North End in October 1937 for £2,500. He joined a club which already had several Scottish players, including Andy Beattie and Bill Shankly. During his first season with the club, Beattie was part of the team that won the 1938 FA Cup Final. Competitive football stopped due to the Second World War, but Beattie continued to play for Preston when the Football League resumed in 1946–47 and did not leave the club until 1953. Robert McAuley (24 August 1904 – 1994) was an footballer who played as a fullback. He played professionally in Canada, England, Scotland, Ireland and the United States in addition to earning two caps with the Scottish national team in 1931. Professional While born in Scotland, spending his infancy living in Wishaw, Lanarkshire, McAuley's family emigrated to Canada, and he grew up in Montreal, Quebec. At some point, he began playing for Lachine, then moved to Montreal Carsteel, showing on Montreal's roster on 3 August 1925 and again on 1 August 1927, both times as Montreal All-Stars lost the Carls-Rite Cup to Toronto All-Stars. John Kennedy (1873 — after 1902) was a Scottish footballer, who played for Glossop, Hibernian and Stoke. He earned one full international cap for the Scotland national team. Career A native of Shotts, Kennedy played at inside-right and began his career with Hibernian, one of the city's two principal clubs. Leitch Keir
Leitch Keir (22 June 1861 – 29 June 1922) was a Scottish footballer who played for Renton, Dumbarton and Scotland. Having won the Scottish Cup with Dumbarton in 1883, he was the sole member of that team still with the club when they were joint champions of the inaugural Scottish Football League in 1891, becoming the first player to claim medals from both competitions; the distinction was almost shared by all his teammates, but they had lost the 1891 Scottish Cup Final three months earlier. Hugh Wilson (5 August 1859 – 14 December 1946) was a Scottish international footballer who played for Dumbarton in the 1880s. The Scottish Football Hall of Fame is located at the Scottish Football Museum. Nominations are made each year by fans and a committee selects the inductees. Hugh Kilpatrick Gallacher (2 February 1903 – 11 June 1957) was a Scottish football player in the 1920s and 1930s. In 624 senior games, Gallacher scored 463 goals, playing senior league football for Airdrieonians, Newcastle United, Chelsea, Derby County, Notts County, Grimsby Town and Gateshead. Prior to this he also played and scored for then non-league Queen of the South.
