''Dead Man's Bluff'' or ''Zhmurki'' (russian: Жмурки) is a 2005 Russian black comedy/crime film. Director Aleksei Balabanov, who directed ''Brother'' and ''Brother 2'', uses cameo performances, by Russia's most prominent actors. The film depicts the anarchistic reality of the free-market streets of Russia in the beginning of 1990s, where the only real liberty was the freedom to kill. Plot The film opens with a professor lecturing a group of university students on the primitive accumulation of capital. The professor says: "Start-up capital is how everything begins - it makes it possible to start a business and multiply the initial investment many times over. The key question is how to get start-up capital..." ''First on the Moon'' (russian: Первые на Луне, ''Pervye na Lune'') is a 2005 Russian mockumentary science fiction film about a fictional 1930s Soviet landing on the Moon. The film, which went on to win many awards, was the debut of the director Aleksei Fedorchenko. Plot A group of journalists are investigating a highly secret document when they uncover a sensational story: that before the Second World War, in 1938, the first rocket was made in the USSR and Soviet scientists were planning to send an orbiter to the Moon and back. The evidence is convincing; it is clear that in this case, Soviet crewed lunar program cosmonauts were first. The movie follows the selection and training of a small group of cosmonauts. Yevgeny Eduardovich Tsyganov (russian: link=no, Евгений Эдуардович Цыганов; born 15 March 1979) is a Russian stage and film actor, director, screenwriter and composer. Early life Yevgeny Tsyganov was born in Moscow in the family of employees of the Moscow Research Institute. Yevgeny graduated from the music school in the piano performance class. Starting from the age of nine, he spent four years playing various roles at the Taganka Theatre, where he participated in productions created especially for young viewers. From 1993 until 1997 he performed with the youth rock band ''A.S.'' Afterwards he created a new group with his friends, ''Grenki'', and played with friends at various clubs in and around Moscow. The band released one album and by 2004 disbanded, but again reunited in 2009. Life and career Uchitel was born on 31 August 1951 in Leningrad to the family of documentary filmmaker Yefim Uchitel. Dmitri Petrovich Dyuzhev (russian: Дмитрий Петрович Дюжев) (born July 9, 1977) is a Russian film and stage actor and singer. In January 2023, Ukraine imposed sanctions on Dmitri for his support of 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine. Early life Was born on July 9, 1978 in Astrakhan, in the family of actor Petr Dyuzhev and Ludmila Dyuzheva.
