Ranji Trophy
The Ranji Trophy (also known as Mastercard Ranji Trophy for sponsorship reasons) is a domestic first-class cricket championship played in India between multiple teams representing regional and state cricket associations. Board of Control for Cricket in India founded Ranji trophy in 1935, since then it is annually organised across various grounds and stadiums in India. The competition currently consists of 38 teams, with all 28 states in India and four of the eight union territories having at least one representation. The competition is named after Ranjitsinhji who is the first Indian cricketer who played international cricket, he was also known as 'Ranji'. Paras Dogra
Paras Dogra (born 19 November 1984) is an Indian cricketer who has played first-class cricket since 2001. He is a right-handed batsman. Career In November 2015, Dogra equalled the record of double centuries scored in the Ranji Trophy when he scored his seventh score of 200 runs or more. For most of his career he played for Himachal Pradesh in the Ranji Trophy. In the Indian Premier League, he has played for Rajasthan Royals, Kings XI Punjab and Kolkata Knight Riders Ahead of the 2018–19 Ranji Trophy, he transferred from Himachal Pradesh to Puducherry. He was the leading run-scorer for Puducherry in the 2018–19 Vijay Hazare Trophy, with 257 runs in six matches. Saurashtra Cricket Team
Saurashtra cricket team is one of the three first-class cricket teams based in Gujarat (the others being Baroda and Gujarat) that compete in the first-class tournament Ranji Trophy and limited-overs Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. Competition history Previous teams from Saurashtra were Nawanagar and Western India. Nawanagar won the Ranji Trophy in 1936–37 and were runners up in 1937–38. Western India won the Ranji Trophy in 1943–44. Saurashtra began competing in the 1950-51 Ranji Trophy. Hyderabad Cricket Team
The Hyderabad cricket team is a domestic cricket team based in the city of Hyderabad, Telangana, run by the Hyderabad Cricket Association. It is part of the Ranji Trophy Elite Group and has seen scattered success over its many years in the Ranji Trophy circuit. Over its long history in the Ranji Trophy it has won twice and come runner up three times and has made one appearance in the Irani Trophy. Competition history Hyderabad was the third team in the history of the Ranji Trophy to win the tournament, when it did so in the 1937/38 tournament, beating defending champions Nawanagar in a nailbiting one wicket victory. Subramaniam Badrinath ( ta, சுப்பிரமணியம் பத்ரிநாத்; born 30 August 1980) is a former Indian cricketer. He is a right-handed middle order batsman. Badrinath has represented India in One Day International and test matches. In first class cricket, he captains Vidarbha and was captain of Tamil Nadu earlier. In the Indian Premier League, he represented Chennai Super Kings till 2013 and Royal Challengers Bangalore in 2015. He has also represented the Indian Board President's XI on several occasions. Naman Vinaykumar Ojha (born 20 July 1983) is an Indian former cricketer. He represented India in International cricket. He made his Test debut for India against Sri Lanka on 28 August 2015. He retired from all formats of cricket on 15 February 2021. The Maharashtra cricket team is a domestic cricket team that represents Maharashtra state in domestic cricket of India. It is govern by Maharashtra Cricket Association. Hrishikesh Kanitkar
Hrishikesh Hemant Kanitkar (; born 14 November 1974) is a former Indian cricketer, who played tests and ODIs. He is a left-handed batsman and a right-arm offbreak bowler. When he retired in 2015, he was one of only three batsmen to have scored 8000-plus runs in the Ranji Trophy and also the only captain in the Ranji Trophy's history to lift the Elite and Plate league titles. Jammu And Kashmir Cricket Team
The Jammu and Kashmir cricket team is a cricket team based in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, run by JKCA. It is in the Elite Group C of the Ranji Trophy. Its main home ground is the Sher-i-Kashmir Stadium in Srinagar, and it also plays at Gandhi Memorial Science College Ground in Jammu. The Delhi cricket team is a first-class cricket team based in Delhi, run by the Delhi District Cricket Association, that plays in India's first class competition, the Ranji Trophy and limited-overs Vijay Hazare Trophy and Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. They have won the Ranji Trophy seven times and have been runners-up eight. Their latest title in 2007-08 came after a long wait of 16 years.
