Abdullah Bin Khalifah Al Thani
Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Thani ( ar, عبد الله بن خليفة آل ثاني; born 11 February 1958) was Prime Minister of Qatar from 29 October 1996 to 3 April 2007. He served as an advisor to the Emir and often represented him at ceremonial events and receptions. Early years and education Abdullah Al Thani is the eldest son of the former and 8th Emir of Qatar, Khalifa bin Hamad Al Thani, and his third wife, Sheikha Rudha bint Jassim bin Jabr Al Thani. Mubarak Hassan Shami ( ar, مبارك حسن شامي, born Richard Yatich on December 1, 1980) is a Kenyan-born Qatari long-distance runner. He specializes in half marathon and marathon races. Saif Saaeed Shaheen
Saif Saaeed Shaheen ( ar, سيف سعيد شاهين), formerly Stephen Cherono (born 15 October 1982), is a steeplechase runner. He was born in Keiyo, Kenya but now he represents Qatar. He currently holds the world record for 3000 metre steeplechase. He is a two time World Champion in the event. His older brother Abraham Cherono is also a steeplechase runner. He was the 1999 World Youth Champion in the steeplechase and set a world junior record two years later. He won the steeplechase at the 2002 Commonwealth Games for Kenya but switched allegiance to Qatar in 2003. That year he became world champion in the event, although a dispute with the Kenyan Athletics Federation meant he was ineligible to compete at the 2004 Summer Olympics. Musa Amer Obaid ( ar, موسى عامر عبيد; born April 18, 1985, in Kenya) is a middle distance runner mainly competing in steeplechase. He was born Moses Kipkirui, but represents Qatar after changing nationality from his birth country Kenya. Musa Amer finished fourth in the 3000 metres steeplechase at the 2004 Summer Olympics in a personal best time of 8:07.18 minutes, having won the silver medal at the World Junior Championships a month earlier. In 2005 he finished ninth at the World Championships and seventh at the World Athletics Final. In 2006 Musa Amer was found guilty of testosterone doping. James Kwalia C'Kurui (born James Kwalia Chepkurui on 12 June 1984) is an athlete who represents Qatar after switching from his homeland Kenya. Specializing in the 3000 and 5000 metres, his personal best times are 7:28.28 minutes and 12:54.58 minutes respectively. He was born in Trans Nzoia. He is the current holder of the Asian indoor record over 5000 m which he broke in Düsseldorf in February 2009.
