The president of the Republic of Kazakhstan ( kk, Қазақстан Республикасының Президенті, Qazaqstan Respublikasynyñ Prezidentı; russian: Президент Республики Казахстан, Prezident Respubliki Kazakhstan) is the head of state of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The president is the holder of the highest office within the Republic of Kazakhstan. The powers of this position are described in a special section of the Constitution of Kazakhstan. The position was established on 16 December 1991, after independence of the country. The current president is Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. Ismail Yusupov
Ismail Abdurasulovich Yusupov (Uyghur: ئىسمايىل يۈسۈپ, kk, Ысмайыл Юсупов: (12 May 1914 – 16 May 2005) was a member of the Uyghur minority and a Soviet Communist from 1962 to 1964 and in that era he was first secretary of the Communist Party of the Kazakh SSR. After Khrushchev was ousted in 1964, Yusupov was replaced with Dinmukhamed Akhmedovich Kunayev, a close friend of Brezhnev's. Until his retirement in 1971, he held several lower functions in the field of agriculture. Early life Yusupov was born on 1914 at Sofiiskaya. In infancy, Yusupov lost his mother, so he was raised by his stepmother. For four years Yusupov studied at the Uyghur secondary school named after A. Sufi Zarvata. After graduating from school, Yusupov's parents decided that since he had learned to read and write, he could well earn his own living. Nikolai Belyaev (politician)
Nikolai Ilyich Belyaev (russian: Никола́й Ильи́ч Беля́ев; 19 January (1 February) 1903 – 28 October 1966) was a Soviet politician. Between 1955 and 1958 he was a Secretariat of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. Biography Belyaev was born in the village Kuterem of Ufa Governorate in Siberia in a family of a Russian peasant. While studying in a secondary school he began his political career as a Komsomol activist. In 1925 he graduated from the Plekhanov Russian University of Economics in Moscow and returned to Siberia where he served as a Communist Party functionary for the next 30 years. His efforts in the expansion of agriculture in Siberia were noticed by Nikita Khrushchev. Ivan Yakovlevich Yakovlev (russian: Иван Яковлевич Яковлев) (, , today's Tatarstan - October 23, 1930, Moscow) was a Chuvash enlightener, educator, and writer. In 1875, Ivan Yakovlev was graduated from the Kazan University. While he was still a gymnasium student, he invested his own capital and private donations into the establishment of Simbirsk Chuvash School in 1868. Thanks to the efforts of Ilya Ulyanov (Vladimir Lenin's father), this school would be funded by the government starting 1871. In 1877, the school was transformed into Simbirsk Central Chuvash School. After his graduation from the university, Ivan Yakovlev worked as an inspector of Chuvash schools in the Kazan School District (until 1903) and headed the Chuvash School for Teachers (until October 1919). Panteleimon Kondratyevich Ponomarenko (russian: link=no, Пантелеймо́н Кондра́тьевич Пономаре́нко, ; ; 18 January 1984) was a Soviet statesman and politician and one of the leaders of Soviet partisan resistance in Belarus. He served as an administrator at various positions within the Soviet government, including the leadership positions in Byelorussian and Kazakh SSRs. The Algemeen Nederlandsch Fotobureau (General Dutch Photo Bureau, or ''ANeFo'') was a photograph press agency in the Netherlands, that worked together with the Algemeen Nederlands Persbureau (ANP) and other press agencies, until it ceased to exist in 1989.
