Port Adelaide Football Club is a professional Australian rules football club based in Alberton, South Australia, Alberton, South Australia. Jack Londrigan
John William Londrigan (3 February 1890 – 22 August 1937) was an Australian rules football player from South Australia. Sturt (1907–1910) Initially Londrigan played for the Sturt Football Club but after strong rumours that University would soon be admitted to the SAFL, thereby eliminating the bye, he left the club. Adelaide University (1911) However, after it became apparent that University would not be admitted to the SAFL he left to join the Port Adelaide Football Club in 1912. Port Adelaide (1912–1914) Impressing in his first year he was appointed captain in 1912. Subsequently, he was captain of the 1913 and 1914 Port Adelaide Football Club side who were one of the sports greatest ever teams. He is the only player to twice captain victorious Champions of Australia teams. His career ended with the onset of World War I. Peter Bampton
Peter Aloysius Bampton (22 June 1896 – 2 January 1968) was an Australian rules footballer who played with Port Adelaide Football Club, Port Adelaide in the South Australian National Football League, SANFL during the 1920s. Football Bampton played a total of 137 games for Port Adelaide, often at centre half back. He made his debut during the 1919 season and was a member of their 1921 premiership side. In 1925 he had his best season, being awarded a retrospective Magarey Medal in 1998 after originally finishing runner up on a count back. He was Port Adelaide captain in 1927 and played his last game for the club the following season. During his career he represented South Australia at interstate football on 10 occasions. Maurice Allingham (Australian Footballer)
Maurice William Allingham (19 August 1896 – 15 September 1993) was an Australian rules footballer from South Australia. He was the Port Adelaide Football Club's leading goal kicker on four occasions and won the club's best and fairest in 1931. He enlisted for duty during World War I on 16 February 1917 and was part of the 5th Machine Gun Battalion. Clifford Hurst Keal (2 March 1901 – 3 October 1965) was an Australian rules footballer for the Port Adelaide Football Club between 1920 and 1929. Clem Dayman
Clem Dayman (30 December 1892 – 24 July 1967) was an Australian rules footballer who played for the North Adelaide and Port Adelaide Football Clubs. North Adelaide (1915 – 1919) Dayman first played in the opening round of 1915 for North Adelaide Football Club against Norwood at the Norwood Oval. He went on to play a further three games for the season in between playing for North Adelaide's B side. He enlisted to fight with the A.I.F. on 9 August 1915. Suffering from shell shock he returned to Australia on August 8, 1918, and was medically discharged. He rejoined North Adelaide at the start of the 1919 season. He went on to play 16 out of a possible 20 games in 1919, and was rewarded with his efforts with the C.H Nitschke Medal for the Most Consistent and Brilliant Player of the season. Sam Howie
Samuel William Howie (10 June 1889 – 15 August 1943) was an Australian rules footballer for Port Adelaide and captain of the club in 1922. Family The son of David Howie (1852–1920), and Amanda Lavinia Howie (1854–1938), née Green, Samuel William Howie was born at Broken Hill on 10 June 1889. He married Ethel May Dixon (1889–1975) on 5 March 1920. They had three sons: William Edward Howie (1921–1921), Allan Dixon Howie (1923–1945), and Robert John Howie (1924–1981). Harold Oliver (Australian Footballer)
William Harold Oliver (12 August 1891 – 15 November 1958) was an Australian rules footballer. Harold Oliver was a key player to some of South Australian football's most successful teams. He starred in South Australia's victorious 1911 Australian football championship along with Port Adelaide's 1914 "Invincibles" team. After being close to retiring from the game after World War I, he returned to captain both Port Adelaide to the 1921 SAFL premiership and South Australia in a game against Western Australia.
