Tadeusz Breyer
Tadeusz Breyer (15 October 1874 in Mielec – 15 May 1952 in Warsaw) - Polish sculptor and medallic artist. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Kraków. Then, he left for the Academy in Florence. In 1904 he moved to Warsaw. From 1910 to 1952, except for the periods of the world wars, he taught at the Academy of Fine Arts. While he worked at the Academy he educated many Polish sculptors, e.g.: Alfons Karny, Józef Gosławski, , and Franciszek Strynkiewicz. Most of his works were destroyed during the Second World War. Bolesław Biegas
Bolesław Biegas (1877–1954) was a Polish, surrealist and Symbolist painter and sculptor. Biography Biegas was born in Koziczyn, Poland and orphaned at a young age. He began studying sculpture in Warsaw in the studio of a local sculptor, Antoni Panasiuk, then studied art under Konstanty Laszczka at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Kraków. After being expelled for his sculpture ''The Book of Life'', Biegas moved permanently to Paris, where he briefly attended the ''École des Beaux-Arts'' before beginning his independent artistic activity. From 1900, his works were exhibited in several Salons, including the parisian Galerie des Artistes Modernes and Galerie Arts et Artistes Anglais, and galleries in London, St. Petersburg and Kiev. Biegas also created a series of Symbolist style paintings, featuring mythical, monstrous and female chimeras, which symbolised a violent battle of the sexes. Jan Berdyszak
Jan Berdyszak (15 June 1934 –18 September 2014) was a Polish artist. From 1952 to 1958, he studied at the Sculpture Department of the State College of Fine Arts in Poznań (now Fine Arts Academy), where he eventually returned as a lecturer. He participated in numerous exhibitions both in Poland and abroad. His works were exhibited in the Foto-Medium-Art Gallery in 1980, 1986, 1995 and 2007. In honor of his merits for culture he was appointed a Knight of Polonia Restituta Order in 1988 and an Officer of Polonia Restituta in 2001. He also received the Doctorate Honoris Causa of Fine Arts Academy in Bratislava in 1999. Projects Berdyszak's artistic projects cover a wide range of fields and techniques, including graphic design, sculpture, installations, photography, and stage designs for theatre performances. Zdzisław Beksiński
Zdzisław Beksiński (; 24 February 192921 February 2005) was a Polish painter, photographer, and sculptor, specializing in the field of dystopian surrealism. Beksiński made his paintings and drawings in what he called either a Baroque or a Gothic manner. His creations were made mainly in two periods. The first period of work is generally considered to contain expressionistic color, with a strong style of "utopian realism" and surreal architecture, like a doomsday scenario. Paweł Althamer (born 12 May 1967, Warsaw) is a Polish contemporary sculptor, performer, collaborative artist and creator of installations, and video art. Life and work In the years 1988-1993, he studied sculpture at the Warsaw Academy of Fine Arts. Since the mid-1990s, he has been collaborating with the Foksal Gallery in Warsaw. In 2000, he participated in Manifesta 3 in Ljubljana, Slovenia. In 2004, he won the Vincent Award from the Broere Charitable Foundation in the Netherlands. In 2007, he presented the exhibition ''One of many'' with the Nicola Trussardi Foundation. His longest-running collaboration is with the Nowolipie Group, an organisation in Warsaw for adults with mental or physical disabilities, to whom he has been teaching a Friday night ceramics class since the early 1990s. Kazimierz Adamski (born 1964) is a Polish sculptor. Biography He studied at the Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts from 1988 to 1993. Wiesław Adamski
Wiesław Adamski (26 July 1947 – 10 February 2017) was a Polish sculptor. He was born in Wierzchowo. Biography Adamski, who used to live in Szczecinek, graduated from State High School of Fine Arts in Szczecin, and then studied at the Sculpture Department of the University of Fine Arts in Poznań. He specialized in small sculptures, medals, portraits and blacksmithing. He was an art teacher, caricaturist, illustrator of books and magazines, and a humanist. Adamski's works were exhibited, among others, in: Helsinki, Poltava, Berlin, Madrid, Washington DC, Philadelphia and Paris. The artist's works of art can be found in the Erasmus Gallery in Rotterdam, the Art Gallery in Ravenna, the Regional Museum in Szczecinek, in Eutin, Germany, and in the National Museum in Warsaw.
