Hossein Abdi
Hossein Abdi ( fa, حسین عبدی; born 21 March 1967) is an Iranian footballer and currently the manager of the Iran national under-17 team. Club career Abdi played his entire career (1987-2000) for Persepolis. He served as the captain. The team won the regional Tehran Provincial League in 1987/88, 1988/89, 1989/90, and 1990/91. They then won the Azadegan League (then the top-level football league in Iran) in 1995/96, 1996/97, 1998/99, and 1999/2000. Managerial career Abdi was the head coach of Damash Gilan in 2009. He left the club to serve as the assistant coach for Persepolis from 2009 to 2010. Under head coach Ali Daeli, the team won the Iran Hazfi Cup. The Takht Jamshid Cup ( fa, جام تخت جمشید, Jâm-e Taxt-e Jamšid) was a national football league based in Iran which lasted from 1973 to 1978. Alan Rogers (football Manager)
Alan Rogers (born 31 December 1924) is an English former Football (soccer), football manager who was Head-Coach of Persepolis F.C. between 1971 and 1974. Persepolis F.C., an Iranian Football team, football club then played in the Takht Jamshid Cup. Rogers is the uncle of former Tranmere Rovers F.C., Tranmere Rovers chairwoman Lorraine Rogers, and has held coaching positions in the Philippines, South Africa, Iran, the US, Qatar, Zambia, Libya, Uganda and Iceland. Rogers and Frank O'Farrell arrived in Tehran on 17 January 2006 upon invitation from Persepolis F.C. Rogers now lives in a flat in Southport. Tehran Province League
Tehran Provincial League, formerly known as Tehran Clubs Championship, is the premier football league of Tehran Province and is 5th in the Iranian football pyramid after the 3rd Division. It is part of AFC's Vision Asia program. Stablished in 1920, it is the oldest football league still being held in Iran. Tehran Clubs Championship used to be Tehran's and Iran's top flight until 1973 when Takht Jamshid Cup was established for the first time. During the 1970s Tehran clubs championship lost its importance and almost all of Tehran's top club participated in Takjt Jamshid Cup. Hossein Fekri (Persian: حسین فکری, March 15, 1924 – July 1, 2003) was an Iranian football player and coach for the Iran national football team. As an international player he won a silver medal at the 1951 Asian Games. At the club level he competed for Daraei and Shahin and then established Tehranjavan. Branko Ivanković (; born 28 February 1954) is a Croatian former footballer who played as a midfielder, and the current manager of the Oman national team. After a 12-year playing career at Varteks, Ivanković started his coaching career at the same club in 1991. He led the Iran national team at the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
