This list of animated feature films consists of animated films produced or released by Paramount Pictures. Paramount releases films from Paramount-owned and non-Paramount owned animation studios. Most films listed below are from Paramount Animation which began as a feature animation department of Paramount in 2015. Paramount has also released animated films by other production companies, such as DreamWorks Animation (which is now owned by Universal Pictures). Other Studio units have also released films theatrically, primarily Fleischer Studios, Famous Studios and Nickelodeon Movies, and the studio's distribution unit, which acquires film rights from outside animation studios to release films under the Paramount label. Paramount Pictures Corporation is an American film and television production company, production and Distribution (marketing), distribution company and the main namesake division of Paramount Global (formerly ViacomCBS). It is the fifth-oldest film studio in the world, the second-oldest film studio in the United States (behind Universal Pictures), and the sole member of the Major film studio, "Big Five" film studios located within the city limits of Los Angeles. In 1916, film producer Adolph Zukor put 24 actors and actresses under contract and honored each with a star on the logo. In 1967, the number of stars was reduced to 22 and their hidden meaning was dropped. ''Race for Your Life, Charlie Brown'' is a 1977 American animated adventure comedy film produced by United Feature Syndicate for Paramount Pictures, directed by Bill Melendez and Phil Roman, and the third in a series of films based on the ''Peanuts'' comic strip. It was the first ''Peanuts'' feature-length film produced after the death of composer Vince Guaraldi, who was originally intended to score the film, and used the same voice cast from the 1975 and 1976 TV specials, ''You're a Good Sport, Charlie Brown'', '' Happy Anniversary, Charlie Brown'', and ''It's Arbor Day, Charlie Brown'', and the same voice cast member from the 1974 TV special, '' It's a Mystery, Charlie Brown''. Comedy Central Films was the motion picture production arm of the adult-oriented comedy television cable channel Comedy Central. The studio produces comedy films aimed at a mature audience and based on Comedy Central shows. Many of which were distributed by Paramount Pictures. Klasky Csupo
Klasky-Csupo, Inc. (stylized as KLaSKY CSUPO INC., doing business as Klasky Csupo, ) is an American animation studio located in Los Angeles, California. It was founded in 1982 by producer Arlene Klasky and Hungarian animator Gábor Csupó (hence the company's name) in a spare room of their apartment and grew to 550 artists, creative workers and staff in an animation facility in Hollywood. During the 1990s and 2000s, they produced and animated era-defining shows for the children's network, Nickelodeon, such as ''Rugrats'' (which was one of the channel's original animated series, known as Nicktoons), '' Aaahh!!! The Rugrats Movie
''The Rugrats Movie'' is a 1998 American animated comedy film based on the Nickelodeon animated television series ''Rugrats''. It was directed by Igor Kovalyov and Norton Virgien and was written by David N. Weiss & J. David Stem. The film introduced Tommy Pickles' baby brother Dil Pickles, who appeared on the series the next year. The film features the voices of E. G. Daily, Tara Charendoff, Christine Cavanaugh, Kath Soucie, Cheryl Chase, Cree Summer, and Charlie Adler, along with guest stars David Spade, Whoopi Goldberg, Margaret Cho, Busta Rhymes, and Tim Curry. MTV Animation is the animation department of the television network MTV. History In 1991, MTV debuted its first full-length animated series, ''Liquid Television'', which helped launch ''Beavis and Butt-Head'' and ''Æon Flux''. MTV established its own in-house animation studio in 1993 to work on ''Beavis and Butt-Head'' and other projects. While MTV department is often grouped with that of Nickelodeon's, the two entities are completely separate. Most of MTV's cartoons are known for their dark humor, sexual jokes, graphic violence, pop culture references, and irreverence. ''Beavis and Butt-Head Do America'' is a 1996 American adult animated comedy film based on the MTV animated television series ''Beavis and Butt-Head''. The film was co-written and directed by series creator Mike Judge, who reprises his roles from the series; Demi Moore, Bruce Willis, Robert Stack, and Cloris Leachman star in supporting roles. The film follows Beavis and Butt-Head, two teen delinquents who travel the US and unknowingly become fugitives. Previous offers by MTV to adapt ''Beavis and Butt-Head'' to film were rejected by Judge, before he eventually agreed to the film in 1994. As production began, the series' staff halted production while Judge wrote the screenplay with Joe Stillman. John Frizzell composed the film's score. ''Cool World'' is a 1992 American live-action/animated black comedy fantasy film directed by Ralph Bakshi and written by Michael Grais and Mark Victor.
