''Dehleez'' is a 1983 Pakistani Urdu-language drama film based on Emily Brontë's 1847 novel '' Wuthering Heights'', with screenplay by Syed Noor. It started Nadeem and Shabnam with Afzaal Ahmad and Agha Talish. The music of the film was composed by Kamal Ahmed. The film celebrated its Diamond Jubilee on the box office and won seven Nigar Awards, including best film, best director and best actor. ''Dehleez'' inspired the 1985 Hindi film '' Oonche Log''. It was screened at the Lok Virsa Museum in 2018. Mumtaz (born 1948) is a Pakistani film actress who worked in Urdu and Punjabi movies during the 1970s and 1980s. She is known for her lead roles in the movies ''Pyaar Ka Mausam'' (1975), '' Mohabbat Zindagi Hai'' (1975), '' Jab Jab Phool Khile'' (1975), and ''Amber'' (1978). She won 5 Nigar awards in her long cinema career. Early life and career Mumtaz was born as ''Rifa'at'' in 1948 in Karachi. Before appearing in Lollywood films, she was quite popular for dancing at various functions in Karachi. She came to films in 1972. Anjuman Shaheen ( ur, ), is a Pakistani film actress and singer. She was one of the most successful Punjabi film heroines of Pakistan during the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. She was born in Bahawalpur. Anjuman's parents were from Ahmadpur East, settled in Multan where Anjuman was brought up. She later moved to Lahore. Career Her career spanned almost 20 years and she appeared in more than 300 films. She first appeared in the Urdu film, ''Soorath'' (1973) co-starring with Waseem Abbas, Afshan, Taj Niazi. Mustafa Qureshi is a Pakistani film and television actor. He has acted in more than 600 movies, in Urdu, Punjabi and Sindhi languages. He is best remembered for playing the antagonist Noori Natt in ''Maula Jatt'' (1979). He was born into a Sindhi family, despite his later work mainly in Punjabi cinema. Qureshi won Nigar Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in ''Lal Aandhi'' (1979). He then won his first Nigar Award for Best Actor for 1981 film '' Sher Khan''. He won his third Nigar Award and second in best actor category for his role in Rustam Tey Khan. He was awarded Pride of Performance in 1988.
