The highest-selling albums in Japan are ranked in the weekly Oricon Albums Chart, which is published by ''Oricon Style'' magazine. The data is compiled by Oricon based on each albums' weekly physical sales. This list includes the albums that reached the number one place on that chart in 2014. In 2014, a total of 43 albums claimed the top position of the chart. Beginning with dance and vocal group Sandaime J Soul Brothers's greatest hits/studio album, ''The Best/Blue Impact'', issue dated January 6. AKB48's ''Tsugi no Ashiato'' was the best-selling album of 2014. The soundtrack, '' Frozen: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack'', was the second best-selling album. With 980,000 copies sold, it became the best-selling animation film soundtrack album in Oricon history. Boy band Arashi's thirteenth studio album, ''The Digitalian'' was the third best-seller, with 785,000 copies sold. Exile The Second (stylized as EXILE THE SECOND, formerly known as THE SECOND from EXILE), or simply The Second, is a Japanese music group comprising Exile members Kenchi, Keiji, Tetsuya, Nesmith, Shokichi and Akira. Formed in 2012, the group is managed by LDH and is signed to the Avex Group record label Rhythm Zone. is a Japanese voice actress, singer and narrator from Niihama, Ehime. She is represented by the agency StarCrew. Masaharu Fukuyama
is a Japanese singer-songwriter and actor from Nagasaki. He debuted in 1990 with the single "Tsuioku no Ame no Naka". Fukuyama is represented by the agency Amuse, Inc. is a seven-member Japanese boy band under Johnny & Associates, with members Hiromitsu Kitayama, Kento Senga, Toshiya Miyata, Wataru Yokoo, Taisuke Fujigaya, Yuta Tamamori and Takashi Nikaidō. E-girls
E-girls (sometimes stylized as E-Girls or e-girls; stands for Exile Girls) was a Japanese collective girl group created and managed by LDH while signed to music label Rhythm Zone from Avex. As of 2017, the band consisted of 11 members; 8 of which featured members of groups Happiness and Flower. Created as a sister act to boy band Exile, E-girls debuted in 2011 with their single "Celebration". ''Colorful Pop'' is the second studio album of the Japanese super girl group E-girls. It was released on March 19, 2014 in two different editions. Background E-girls announced their second album before the release of "Diamond Only".
