List Of New South Wales Government Agencies
The New South Wales Government (NSW Government) is made up of a number of departments, state-owned corporations and other agencies. The NSW Public Service is organised under the ''Government Sector Employment Act 2013'', with public bodies organised under various legislation. In 2009, most of the 100+ government organisations were restructured into 13 'super agencies' or clusters. This number was subsequently reduced to ten clusters in 2013; and in July 2019 following the 2019 state election, it was further reduced to eight clusters. A new cluster for Regional NSW was created in April 2020, increasing to nine clusters; and a further cluster, Enterprise, Investment and Trade, established on 21 December 2021, in the second Perrottet ministry. Chris Minns
Christopher John Minns (born 17 September 1979) is an Australian politician serving as the 47th and current premier of New South Wales since March 2023. He has been the leader of the New South Wales branch of the Australian Labor Party (ALP) since 2021 and a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly (MLA) for the district of Kogarah since 2015. He was previously the deputy mayor of Hurstville from 2007 to 2008. Minns was first elected at the 2015 New South Wales state election, and was elected unopposed as leader of the Labor Party in the leadership election of June 2021, following the resignation of Jodi McKay. Jodie Elizabeth Harrison (born 1968) is an Australian politician who has represented the Charlestown Electorate in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly for the Labor Party since 25 October 2014, when she was elected in a by-election. The Minister for Women is a minister in the Government of New South Wales with responsibility for women's issues in New South Wales, Australia. There had been a Women’s Co-ordination Unit and a Women’s Advisory Council since at least 1977 for which the Premier and later the Minister for Families and Communities had been responsible. In 1993 in the third Fahey ministry these functions were brought together in a portfolio aimed at changing the portrayal of women, improving their status at home, at work and in the community, and reducing violence against women. The Cabinet Office (New South Wales)
The Cabinet Office of New South Wales is an agency of the NSW Government. It was initially established on 14 June 1988 until its abolishment in 2007 with the primary purpose of providing policy advice to the Premier and the state Cabinet. Its role extended to coordinating government policies across various departments, addressing issues of political sensitivity such as greenhouse gas emissions, alcohol misuse, and illicit drugs. Roger Wilkins served as the last Director General, resigning in 2006, leading to a significant reevaluation of government administration. He has served as the New South Wales Minister for Aboriginal Affairs and Treaty, Gaming and Racing, Veterans, Medical Research and the Central Coast since April 2023.
