Miss Grand International is a beauty pageant franchise based in Thailand. It consists of the annual national pageant Miss Grand Thailand, as well as the international competition Miss Grand International, to which participating rights are licensed to organizers in other countries. The current Miss Grand International titleholder is Isabella Menin of Brazil, who was crowned on 25 October 2022 at Sentul International Convention Center in Sentul City, West Java, Indonesia. History Miss Grand International was founded in 2013 by Nawat Itsaragrisil, a Thai television host and producer. Miss Perú 2017
Due to restructuring in the Miss Peru Organization, the national pageant was prevented to be held earlier in the year as originally planned. Jessica Newton, national Director of the Miss Perú pageant planned a special ceremony on September 22 that took place at the Country Club Lima Hotel in San Isidro, Lima, Peru. The outgoing titleholder, Valeria Piazza of Lima crowned her successor, Prissila Howard of Piura at the end of the event. The crowning featured the assistance of special guest Miss Universe 2016, Iris Mittenaere of France. Howard was appointed to represent Peru at Miss Universe 2017. Miss Grand International 2017 was the fifth edition of the Miss Grand International pageant, held on October 25, 2017 at the Vinpearl Phu Quoc Resort and Villas Convention Hall, Phú Quốc, Vietnam. Contestants from seventy-seven countries and territories competed for the title, of whom María José Lora of Peru was announced the winner and was crowned by Miss Grand International 2016, Ariska Putri Pertiwi of Indonesia, while the representatives of the Czech Republic, Philippines, Puerto Rico, and Venezuela were named the runners-up. Puteri Indonesia 2016, the 20th Puteri Indonesia pageant, was held on February 19, 2016 at Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, Indonesia. Anindya Kusuma Putri, Puteri Indonesia 2015 of Central Java, crowned her successor Kezia Warouw of North Sulawesi at the end of the event. All 39 contestants from 34 provinces competed for the crown. The winner represented Indonesia at the Miss Universe 2016, while the runners-up competed at Miss International 2016, Miss Supranational 2016, and Miss Grand International 2016.
