This article contains a complete list of Michelin starred restaurants in Singapore. The 2016 edition was the first edition of the Michelin Guide to Singapore to be published. At the time, Singapore was the only country in Southeast Asia where there are Michelin starred restaurants and stalls, and remains so in the case of having restaurants with three Michelin stars, and was one of the four states in general in Asia. In the 2016 edition, two hawker stalls, Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle and Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice and Noodle, became the first Asian street stalls to be awarded Michelin stars. Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice & Noodle's most notable dish and also the country's national dish, chicken rice, also became the cheapest Michelin-star meal in the world at S$2 (US$1.60) a serving. The Hilton Singapore Orchard is a 1080-room five-star hotel located at 333 Orchard Road in Singapore. History The hotel opened in 1971 as The Mandarin Singapore, occupying a single 36-storey block facing Orchard Road. Designed by Cyrus Casper Francis, it had 700 rooms. Atop the hotel was the ''Top of the 'M' '', the highest revolving restaurant in Singapore. It has since been converted to a club lounge, open to guests who belong to the hotel chain's loyalty program. Iggy's is a restaurant in Singapore which serves Modern European cuisine. It has been named in The World's 50 Best Restaurants since 2009, including best Asian restaurant in 2012. It was awarded one star in the 2017 Singapore edition of the Michelin Guide. It has been named as the best restaurant in Asia by the ''Miele Guide'' on three occasions. Smith Street, Singapore
Smith Street (Chinese: 史密斯街 shǐ mì sī jiē) is a small street running through the heart of the Chinatown district in Singapore. The only road in the area to be named after a European, it commemorates the hugely popular Sir Cecil Clementi Smith, then Governor of the Straits Settlements and High Commissioner in 1887 to 1893, who was a Chinese scholar and responsible for most of the work to combat the problems of secret societies. As is common for roads with English names, it has an informal Chinese name, ''hei yuen kai'', meaning Theatre Street in reference to the Lai Chun Yuen Theatre then located at unit 36 and the centre of entertainment in the Kreta Ayer area. Wolfgang Puck
Wolfgang Johannes Puck (born July 8, 1949) is an Austrian-American chef and restaurateur. Early life and career Puck was born in Sankt Veit an der Glan, Austria. He learned cooking from his mother, who was a pastry chef. He took the surname of his stepfather, Josef Puck, after his mother's remarriage. The marriage produced two younger sisters and a younger brother for Wolfgang. He trained as an apprentice under Raymond Thuilier at L'Oustau de Baumanière in Les Baux-de-Provence, at Hôtel de Paris in Monaco, and at Maxim's Paris before moving to the United States in 1973 at age 24. The Paragon is a luxury shopping complex located in the Orchard Road area of Singapore. Background It was redeveloped in the late 1990s, transforming it into a modern glass-covered building. Boon Tat Street () is in the Downtown Core in the Central Area of Singapore. The street extends from Amoy Street at its western end to the junction of Shenton Way and Raffles Quay.
