Marathi Cinema
Marathi cinema is an Indian film industry of Marathi-language motion pictures. It is based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Based in old Mumbai, it is the oldest film industry of Indian cinema. The first Marathi film to be released in India was ''Shree Pundalik'' by Dadasaheb Torne on 18 May 1912 at Coronation Cinematograph, Mumbai. and a Marathi crew who were performing Marathi and Sanskrit (musicals) and plays in Marathi at that period. The first Marathi talkie film, ''Ayodhyecha Raja'', was released in 1932, just one year after ''Alam Ara'' the first Hindi talkie. Although the industry is much smaller than Hindi cinema (which is also primarily based in Mumbai), Marathi cinema is tax free at the privilege of the state of Maharashtra, and is experiencing growth in recent years. Ravi Jadhav
Ravindra Jadhav (born 22 September 1971) known professionally as Ravi Jadhav is an Indian film director, actor, screenwriter and producer. He made his directorial debut with the Marathi musical drama ''Natarang'' in 2010. Ravi studied in Sir J.J Institute of Applied art and won the 2009 National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Marathi. Some of his other films are ''Balak Palak'', produced by Ritesh Deshmukh, and Balgandharva (film), ''Balgandharva'', which won three national awards at the 59th National Film Awards. Lalit Prabhakar is an Indian film, television and theatre actor predominantly working in the Marathi film industry. Vaidehi Parashurami (born 1 February 1992) is an Indian actress. She made her debut with Mahesh Kothare, Mahesh Kothare's movie ''Ved Lavi Jeeva'' in 2010. Early life Vaidehi was raised in Mumbai. Amey Wagh (born 13 November 1987) is an Indian Marathi actor known for films such as ''Popat'', ''Faster Fene'', ''Muramba'', ''Girlfriend''. ''Nay Varanbhat Loncha Kon Nay Koncha'' is a 2022 Indian Marathi-language crime film written and directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, produced by Shreyans Hirawat under the banner of NH Studioz. Plot The film starts at late night with two teenagers in their early teens, Digambar (alias Digya) and Illiyas, cornering a drunk man in his fifties, Gupta, and stabbing him. Digya threatens Gupta that he will pull his guts out unless he complies with him. They take him to his home at knifepoint and make him call Shirya and tell him that his rent receipt is ready and he should collect it immediately because he would be leaving the town early morning.
