This is a listing of the ministers who serve in the National Democratic Congress government of John Dramani Mahama in Ghana originally formed on 24 July 2012 following the death of John Atta Mills, and sworn in from January 2013. The government lost the December 2016 general election and its rule ended on 7 January 2017 when Nana Akufo-Addo of the New Patriotic Party became president. President Of Ghana
The president of the Republic of Ghana is the elected head of state and head of government of Ghana, as well as commander-in-chief of the Ghana Armed Forces. The current president of Ghana is Nana Akufo-Addo, who won the 2020 presidential election against former president, John Dramani Mahama, by a margin of 4.23%. He was sworn into office for his second term on 7 January 2021. Benjamin Kunbuor
Benjamin Bewa-Nyog Kumbuor was the Ghanaian Minister for Defence of the Ghanaian Ministry of Defence and a Ghanaian politician. He was the Member of Parliament for the Nandom constituency. Education His last name is also reported as Kunbuor. Kumbuor had his secondary education at Nandom Secondary School, acquired his LLB from the University of Ghana, and qualified as a lawyer after completing the Ghana School of Law. He thereafter proceeded to the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom and obtained his LLM with distinction. He was subsequently awarded the British Chevening Scholarship to complete his PhD in Law in Development (1997-2000). Seth Terkper
Seth Emmanuel Terkper is a Ghanaian chartered accountant and politician who served as the Minister for Finance and Economic Planning of Ghana from 2013 to 2017 under the John Mahama Government. Early life and education Seth Terkper was born in Somanya in the Eastern Region of Ghana, where he started his elementary school education in the Presby cluster of schools. Minister For Finance And Economic Planning
The Minister for Finance and Economic Planning is the Ghanaian government official responsible for the Ministry of Finance of Ghana. The Minister for Finance since January 2017 has been Ken Ofori-Atta, co-founder and former Chairman of the Databank Group (an investment banking firm) in Ghana. He was appointed by President Akufo-Addo following the Ghanaian general election in December 2016. Mark Woyongo
Mark Owen Woyongo (born 9 June 1946) is a Ghanaian politician and the Ghanaian Minister for the Interior for the Ghanaian Ministry of the Interior. He was also the Member of Parliament for the Navrongo Central constituency in Ghana. Woyongo first stood for election on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress in the 2008 Ghanaian parliamentary election, winning 41.7% of the votes and losing to Joseph Kofi Adda of the New Patriotic Party by 1,130 votes (3.5%). Kwesi Ahwoi (born 17 November 1946) is a former Minister for the Interior of Ghana. In 2015, he became the first Ghanaian ambassador to Comoros, he also doubles as the ambassador of Ghana in 4 other countries; Lesotho, Mauritius, Seychelles and Swaziland. Hanna Serwaa Tetteh (born 31 May 1967) is a Ghanaian barrister and politician. She served in the cabinet of Ghana as Minister for Trade and Industry from 2009 to 2013 and Minister for Foreign Affairs from 2013 to 2017.
