This is a list of MPs who lost their seat at the 2017 French legislative election. All of these députés sat in the 14th legislature of the French Fifth Republic but were not returned to Parliament in the elections. In total, incumbent 206 members of the National Assembly were defeated in the landslide victory of Emmanuel Macron and La République En Marche!. 75% of all Members of Parliament elected to the National Assembly are newcomers. Alain Péréa (born 5 June 1971) is a French politician of La République En Marche! (LREM) who was elected to the French National Assembly on 18 June 2017, representing the department of Aude. Political career In parliament, Péréa served on the Committee on Sustainable Development. In July 2019, he announced his candidacy to succeed Barbara Pompili the committee’s chair; in an internal vote, he lost against Pompili. In addition to his committee assignments, Péréa was part of the French-Croatian Parliamentary Friendship Group and the French delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union for the Mediterranean. Danièle Hérin (born 14 January 1947) is a French computer scientist and politician of La République En Marche! (LREM) who was elected to the French National Assembly on 18 June 2017, representing Aude's 1st constituency. La France Insoumise (FI or LFI; ; "France Unbowed") is a left-wing populist political party in France, launched in 2016 by Jean-Luc Mélenchon, then a Member of the European Parliament (MEP) and former co-president of the Left Party (PG).
