Lithuania

Virginija Kalinauskaitė
Virginija Kalinauskaitė (born 27 January 1957, in Panevėžys) is a Lithuanian graphic artist. Biography In 1983, she graduated from the Lithuanian Institute of Art. Since 2001, she was Vilnius Graphic Art Centre and Gallery director. She is a member of the Lithuanian Artists' Association. Works Her work is etchings. They are characterized by virtuoso painting, subtle gray shadings, flamboyance ("Landscape with hay haystack" 1986, "Rose," "The Journey" "Circles," all in 1989, "Women" in 1994, "Two riders," 1999 on). He also creates aquatint, linocut free cutting behavior ("Rain," "Gypsy," both in 1984) Nuliejo watercolors. Anortė Mackelaitė
Marija Anortė Mackelaitė, better known as Anortė Mackelaitė, (born 14 October 1930 in Kėdainiai) is a Lithuanian stained glass artist. Along with stained-glass artists such as Stasys Ušinskas, Algimantas Stoškus, Kazimieras Morkūnas, Antanas Garbuskas, Filomena Ušinskaitė, Konstantinas Šatūnas and Bronius Bružas, she has been cited as one of the leading artists in this field in Lithuania and the Baltic States. Her best-known work is the brightly colored stained-glass windows which she contributed to Anykščiai Church, the tallest church in Lithuania. Biography In 1949–1951, Mackelaitė studied at the Kaunas Institute of Applied Decorative Art, and in 1955 at the Lithuanian Institute of Fine Arts. Raminta Elena Kuprevičienė (born 1 November 1938 Vilnius) is a Lithuanian paper restorer. In 1941, her family was exiled to the Altai Territory, but in 1947 she returned to Lithuania. In 1963, she graduated from Vilnius University in geography. In 1963–1969, she worked with hydrogeological expeditions, and in 1969–1973 at Vilnius University Library as a restorer. Since 1973, she worked as a restorer at the Lithuanian Art Museum, P. Gudynas Restoration Center Graphics Department. In 1974, she was trained by J. Grabar Restoration Center in Moscow. In 1986, she was given the highest category of graphic works for restorers.
