Question Mark And The Mysterians
? and the Mysterians (or Question Mark and the Mysterians) are an American garage rock band from Bay City and Saginaw in Michigan, initially active between 1962 and 1969. Much of the band's music consisted of electric organ-driven garage rock and an enigmatic image inspired by the 1957 Japanese science fiction film ''The Mysterians''. In addition, the band's sound was also marked by raw-resonating lead vocals of "?" (Question Mark, the stage name of Rudy Martínez), making Question Mark and the Mysterians one of the earliest groups whose musical style is described as punk rock. Their music and imagery were highly influential on later bands. The band signed to Pa-Go-Go Records (based in San Antonio, Texas and run by Rudy "Tee" Gonzales) in 1966 and released its first and most acclaimed single, "96 Tears", in the early part of that year. Flema is an Argentine punk rock band, that managed to find a unique style in South America, among others. The last configuration of the band was: Ricky Espinosa (Vocals and Guitar), Fernando Rossi (Bass), Luis Garibaldo (Guitar), and Pepe Carvallo (Drums). Their songs usually deal with loneliness, alcohol and drugs, friends, women, politics, and complaints about the tough things in life. Their songs have titles like "Borrachos en la esquina" (drunken on the corner), "Semen de buey" (bullock semen), "el blanco cristal" (the white crystal). The band leader, Ricardo Espinosa (also known as 'Ricky') was a very controversial and beloved figure, and the core and spirit of Flema. Leuzemia is a Peruvian punk rock band. The name of the band is a misspelling of the Spanish word ''leucemia'' (meaning leukemia). Los Jaivas
Los Jaivas is a Chilean musical group who perform in folk, rock, psychedelic, and progressive rock styles formed in 1963 in Viña Del Mar, Chile. They are considered one of the most important and influential artists of all time in Latin America. History The origins of Los Jaivas can be found in the family nucleus made up of the brothers Eduardo, Claudio and Gabriel Parra, from Viña del Mar. Jaguares (rock Band)
Jaguares is a Mexican alternative rock band formed by former Caifanes lead singer Saúl Hernández, ex-Caifan Alfonso André (drums), and two long-time friends Federico Fong (bass guitar) and José Manuel Aguilera (lead guitar). History Jaguares got their name from one of vocalist Saúl Hernández's dreams, in which he was singing in a jaguar's mouth. Soon after the release of their hit debut album, ''El Equilibrio de los Jaguares'', Hernández took a break after suffering papiloma virus cancer. As a result of a year without activity, Aguilera dropped out of the band and Fong took a break from the band, as well both continue with his band La Barranca. Ill Niño (stylized as ill niño) is an American metal band formed in Union City, New Jersey, in 1998 by drummer and percussionist Dave Chavarri. They have released seven studio albums, two EPs and one compilation album, totaling in over 1.3 million worldwide album sales. History Ill Niño was formed as El Niño by former Pro-Pain drummer David "Dave" Chavarri in May 1998. He enlisted Merauder vocalist Jorge Rosado, guitarist Daniel Gomez and bassist Christian Machado and took on the position of drummer and percussionist himself. Los Hermanos
Los Hermanos is a rock band from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The group was formed in 1997 by Marcelo Camelo (vocals/guitar), Rodrigo Amarante (guitar/vocals), Rodrigo Barba (drums), and Bruno Medina (keyboards/keyboard bass). Currently they are on an extended hiatus, performing some concerts sporadically. Although the band is Brazilian, the name is Spanish, meaning "the brothers", which would be "Os Irmãos" in Portuguese. Cachorro Grande (Portuguese for "''Big Dog''") was a Brazilian rock band from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. In 2003, the music video for "Lunático" was nominated for Best New Artist at the 2003 MTV Video Music Brazil. In 2007 they won the MTV Video Music Brazil for Best Live Performance. Original bassist Jerônimo "Bocudo" left the band in 2005. He was then replaced by bassist Rodolfo Krieger. In 2018, guitarist Marcelo Gross was replaced by Gustavo X, but soon afterwards rejoined the band for their farewell tour the following year. Ely Guerra (born Elizabeth Guerra Vázquez, February 13, 1972) is a Mexican singer-songwriter who was raised in Monterrey, Nuevo León, Mexico. The daughter of Alberto Guerra and Gloria Vázquez, Guerra lived the first years of her life in Monterrey, where she was born, before moving to San Luis Potosí and then to Guadalajara, due to her father's work. It was in Guadalajara that she first discovered her passion for music. She has a mezzo-soprano voice. Life and career Guerra wrote her first song at age ten. She attended school at the Evergreen State College in Washington. In 1986, Guerra was the backing vocalist of the band Carmín.
