Nikolay Alexandrovich Alexeyev (also spelled as Alekseyev, Alekseev, or Alexeev (russian: Никола́й Алекса́ндрович Алексе́ев) born on 23 December 1977) is a Russian LGBT rights activist, lawyer and journalist. On 21 October 2010 Nikolay Alexeyev won the first ever case at the European Court of Human Rights on LGBT human rights violations in Russia. The Strasbourg-based court unanimously ruled that by banning three Moscow Prides in 2006, 2007 and 2008, Russia breached three articles of the European Convention on Human Rights. It has attracted at least several thousand attendees each year; 20,000 attendees (the largest number of any year prior to 2017) were reported in 2006, following an official ban in 2004 and 2005. Gilbert Baker (June 2, 1951 – March 31, 2017) was an American artist, designer, and activist, best known as the creator of the Rainbow flag (LGBT), rainbow flag. Biography Baker was born on June 2, 1951, in Chanute, Kansas. He grew up in Parsons, Kansas, where his grandmother owned a women's clothing store. His father was a judge and his mother was a teacher. He was baptized a Methodist. Baker served in the United States Army from 1970 to 1972. He was stationed as a medic in San Francisco at the beginning of the LGBT social movements, gay rights movement, and lived there as an openly gay man. Robert Andrew Berdella Jr. (January 31, 1949October 8, 1992) was an American serial killer who kidnapped, raped, tortured, and murdered at least six young men after having forced his victims to endure periods of up to six weeks of captivity. His crimes took place in Kansas City, Missouri, between 1984 and 1987.
